Poll: Four Democrats beat Trump by double digits in Virginia | TheHill

Four Democratic presidential candidates beat President Trump by double digits in a general election mock-up in Virginia, according to a new poll.

Former Vice President Joe Biden had the biggest lead over Trump, at 18 points, according to a University of Mary Washington poll released Thursday. Biden had 55 percent compared to Trump’s 37.
===============================================================
And if that news wasn't good enough, Sens. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) and Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) both beat Trump by 15 points, with 53 percent of support from Virginia voters compared to Trump’s 38 percent.

BTW, recent pix of Trump show a beaten down man.

and in a deep Blue state! Who would have thought that?

It's the future of the South, baby - Georgia and Texas are starting to go a bit blue in the face over Trump's antics, too. Dixieland is ditching the profligates in the Republican party, a few states at a time!

Virginia has been Blue for some time: the smart people in the southern part can't overcome the numbers of transplants in the northern suburbs. I wouldn't put too much faith in turning Georgia and Texas...

Both states are getting imports from blue state people who want our cheap, devalued red state property. Plus, our own denizens get more liberal and diverse every generation. It's only a matter of time, now.

OK, go ahead and put your faith there.....

while you are at it, ask Beto how that went for him...

It's been purple with a heavy blue tint for years.....

The last Republican governor of Virginia left office in 2014. Since then the state has been trending blue. It might be wise for the Republicans to ask themselves why that is.

Republicans are bad for property value? Who knew?

the ball is in play. i see more scenarios today, and some of them are not making me feel better about the election.

Beto is one man with one bad plan, my guy. He's not even a footnote in a history book. I'll see you in ten years, when you can't get a united Republican South to save your party's life.

I already told you. But it will be purple for years to come.

He's a dim candidate for President......

He's a dem candidate for President......

Yeah, we had more than 20 of them this year. There were over a dozen Republican candidates last year - how many can you name off the top of your head? How many can you name off the top of your head from 2012, from either party?

Too bad UMW doesn't provide their sampling by party numbers...especially since this is a blue state.

And let's not forget the over a week-old date on the polling period:

The poll was conducted by Research America Inc. between Sept. 3-15.
We have yet to see the polling fall-out of Trump's current problems.

Sure, I wanted Kasich, but there was Cruz, Fiorina, Rubio, Carson, Bush, and several more, all better than Clinton. 2012 is irrelevant.

Demographics alone says that Texas will turn blue. Cruz barely held off O'Rourke in 2018.

Expansion of the Washington DC footprint.

It will take about 8 to 10 years. You are however assuming that the GOP won't adjust to expand it's voter base.
