In just the past 2 weeks, Marietta Georgia has experienced two very serious assaults by Guatamalan men on young girls:

A young girl was followed and molested outside her Marietta house on July 4 after watching fireworks at Ron Francis Park with her family, police say. The 12-year-old has spoken publicly about the ordeal, telling media her attacker repeatedly tried to grab and kiss her until her 10-year-old brother scared the man off.

Marietta police arrested 20-year-old Cesar Chavez on July 5. He was booked into the Cobb County jail on six felony charges of false imprisonment and child molestation. Born in Guatemala, he is also subject to a detainer by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

Listen. At it's simplest level, as practised by simple people, conservatism is completely negative, nothing more than rejecting anything percieved as liberal. A conservative of good conscience might be bothered by the plight of helpless children in incarceration but won't say so, in fact might belittle the issue, because it's seen as a liberal thing. A conservative who loves to fish and hunt might absolutely reject any environmental concerns because it's seen as a liberal thing. At it's simplest level, as practised by the simplest conservatives. Here, you're rejecting the 'liberal thing', concern about the welfare of innocent helpless children, and justifying it by diverting to a completely different issue.
