Florida's gubernatorial and Senate races are dead even just about five weeks before the midterm elections, according to new polls released Tuesday.

The surveys, conducted for Gray Television by Strategic Research Associates, showed Tallahassee Mayor Andrew Gillum (D) with a 44 to 43 percent lead over Rep. Ron DeSantis (R) among likely voters, with 12 percent still undecided.

Meanwhile, incumbent Sen. Bill Nelson (D) leads Gov. Rick Scott (R) 45 to 44 percent, with 11 percent undecided.
