Police said that the 25-year-old victim, Daniel Hambrick, was carrying a gun when the officer shot him several times.

Tennessee authorities are investigating the fatal police shooting of Daniel Hambrick, a 25-year-old black man, who was seen running away when he was shot and killed by a Nashville police officer, according to surveillance video.
========================================
This seems to have become nationwide SPP (Standard Police Procedure) when encountering black guys running away from the police. So he fired 3 warning shots?

The video we do have of the event makes it unclear where the suspect's weapon was at the time of the shots.

Look at about the 8 minute mark... cops come flying up on the scene and box in a couple innocent civilians in their cars and the asshole cop just calmly walks past them giving no instruction as cops are all over the place aimiing guns. Can't the cop do a basic traffic control/ What the ****?

Why does everything have to be centered on race? Lets face it, if it were a white person shot, this wouldn't have been on Buzzfeed or this forum.

I find it interesting that the focus of this thread is on "black man shot in the back running away from police", and no mention at all of these 3 paragraphs from the story:

Smallwood said that it was "not apparent from the video ... but factually undisputed" that Hambrick was armed with a 9mm Beretta pistol and that he refused to drop it despite Delke's repeated verbal commands to drop his weapon.

According to Smallwood, Delke told Hambrick that he would fire at him if he did not drop his weapon.

"Had he dropped his weapon and just kept running, the conclusion of the incident would be much different than what we are faced with today," Smallwood said. "I am confident that Mr. Hambrick would be alive."

Don't you think that maybe, just maybe, that information might be the slightest bit relevant here? Of course such information would completely ruin the entire "racist cops" narrative that's being pushed here, which explains why it wasn't mentioned.

Geez...
