North Carolina boycott continues - NCAA bans tournaments in the state

Simple solution. I would love to see NC State, NC, Duke, the Texas colleges, and many of the other NCAA powerhouse colleges simply tell the NIT they are available for this years tournament.

That won't accomplish much except a smaller audience. The schools run the NCAA, it's nothing but an organization of the schools. So clearly this 'schism' you propose could only justified if those teams dropped out of the NCAA entirely and formed their own league, instead of leeching off the other 300 teams for scheduling. Which would be the death of them because very few would follow

Also you will find that the colleges themselves oppose HB2 so this will never happen. Some even did things like wear gay pride colored socks at games. You don't speak for them, that's for sure

You mean until DEMOCRATS decided to use them for political gain.

Don't forget.... this is all in response to Charlotte's own Transgender law which essentially removed the ability of businesses to regulate what goes on in their own bathrooms..... opening them up to lawsuits.

If i felt i was being used by a political party i would say so. Barney Frank in fact said he prefers some republicans because he doesn't overhear them at functions say things like "God i wish we didn't have to pretend to support THOSE people" No, republicans just tell you to your face they hate you. But civil rights is superceded by what some politician secretly thinks of me. Besides, he said that years ago. In 2017 i figure there's more republicans pretending publicly to hate gays than dems pretending to support them. So talk about being used. Which party, after all, brought us state after state of ballot drives on the subject of gay rights, just get more of their voters to the polls?

The charlotte was restricted to bathroom access to transgender. Even so, it hardly justifies the response and when charlotte this december voted to remove its law, the republicans in the state legislature decided to keep HB2 anyway! So now the charlotte law is back in place. The state politicians clearly just jumped at the opportunity to oppress a minority and then went way beyond that to protect discrimination against homosexuals

Ultimately, HB2 keeps Cities from being able to make pointless laws (like the Charlotte one), while keeping bathrooms in the NC Public education system Boys in boys room girls in girls room.

I shouldn't have to tell you how bad things would get in our public high schools if boys could just claim to be a girl in order to get into the girls locker room.
