It's an old double standard. Society will jail a male teacher who has sex with a female student, while a female teacher having sex with a boy is often overlooked.

The boy calls the teach Ms Zamorra which is funny.

That's desperation for you. Unless the 13 year old was big for his age, that must not have been very satisfying for her.

To answer the OP, yes she will likely get a lighter sentence than a male teacher. But that sort of double standard has been around for a very long time, and shouldn't surprise anyone.

...That's what you take from this?

She needs to get a sentence comparable to an adult male who had sex with a 13 year old girl.

She won't.

Did she peg the boy hard?

I'm not sure that if it is a double standard that it isn't also justified. While the teach is not my idea of pretty I'm sure there are more than a few hormone driven boys that might enjoy her attention AND be none the worse if they got it. I know a fellow who was 'seduced' by his teacher in the 5th grade on more than one occasion, and he looks back on it fondly.

Males tend to feel differently about such encounters and unless it is against their sexual orientation, tend to come out just fine more than girls.

If a teenage girl is incapable of giving consent, then a teenage boy, who matures slower than a girl, certainly can't. If the boy has the capability to consent, then a girl, who matures faster than boys, certainly can, and be none the worse for it

It depends on what you mean by maturity. In a physical sense, girls do enter puberty earlier than boys. However, that has nothing to do with either the inclination towards sexual and romantic attraction, nor account for the difference in brain wiring between the sexs (as well as their expectations).

If all things were equal, that would be true. However, the consequences of a 13 year old girl becoming pregnant are much more intense than having a 13 year old boy becoming a father.

Immaterial in relation to a sentence.

There is a reason 18 is considered an adult and one can enter into contractual obligations. That should be the standard regardless of sex.

Right, but it is material to the comment about it being equal between a 13 year old boy and a 13 year old girl.

Maybe the boy had a wart on his tounge

Sex crimes against children are sex crimes against children: always abominable. Whether girls or boys, they are equally abominable.

I am not saying it is not. I am saying that the consequences to a 13 year old girl seduced by a man runs higher risks to her physical well being than a boy seduced by a woman. A girl becoming pregnant runs a much higher health risk to herself, long term, and short term, than a boy. That makes the two crimes not quite equivalent.

I haven’t read up on this particular incident. That being said, there was a time that boys had to have someone show them the ropes.

The age of consent varies from 14 in Utah to 18 in Texas, with most states using age 17.

Frankly, if I weren't married, I'd consider my own attraction to women under 50 as pedophilia, excluding Olga Kurylenko (age 40 and so hot). Not that I don't admire the beauty of younger women, even young girls, but admiring beauty does not connote sexual attraction. I find a young colt beautiful, but I am not sexually attracted to horses regardless of their age.

Birds and the bees thing. I'm sure the 13 boy will live to brag about this.

Nothing to see here folks----move along.

Disagree in the sense they are equally abominable. A woman perv waiting and watching in a white van should be given no less a sentence than a man.

Who said anything about sentencing? I was specifically discussing the harm done to the child. A 13 year old girl getting pregnant has a much harsher consequence to her life than a 13 year old boy who becomes an unwitting father. Both crimes should be equally penalized, but I think there should be an extra penalty if a pregnancy of a 13 year old girl is involved.
