With more people not working , you would think they would have more time on their hands?

More time for sex?

Could we expect an uptick of birthrates as well?

I am expected a CoronaBaby boom starting December.

But yeah, a lot of people are without money and people tend to like free entertainment.

That's all well and good as long as you keep to the six feet of social distancing.

My hand is on birth control pills.

It would be a mini boom, not something like what produced the baby boomer generation. A tiny uptick statistically, when looking across multiple decades.

History tells us it will uptick the birthrate but, it's gonna be hard at 6 ft. apart.

My sister is convinced that we're going to see an uptick in the divorce rate. :2razz:

It is ignorant to think people are keeping 6 feet away from their spouses or children unless they suspect or know one of them is sick. That is unrealistic. Many people couldnt pull that off anyway. Are spouses not going to be sleeping with each other? Significant others staying away? Ridiculous to think that is happening. Many families don't have room for that.

Hell, my son had a nose bleed this morning, something he's never had before. I cant not comfort him. And I'm not going to stop sleeping with my husband either. That may seem selfish, but it is not reasonable to think families can stay that far apart for months. We take other precautions, especially around other people, which isnt something we do often anyway.

I've been getting it on with my girlfriend. It's good times, and now that we're stuck for an indefinite amount of time, there's no better time to screw.

I wouldn't recommend anyone go out and find someone to have sex with, though. That's not a good idea.

Birth control is essential for some people.

It’s actually essential for no one.

I think we need Soviet style propaganda posters shunning single living and encouraging early marriage and large families.

Depriving future generations of productive citizens is about the most selfish thing you can do.

Not true. It would be just as essential to some women for regulation of their hormones, periods, to reduce cramping, as other pain medications would be.

Learn If Birth Control Can Help With Menstrual Cramps

So if Tylenol is essential, so is birth control.

Other women put their lives in danger when they get pregnant. Birth control is essential to them.

Sure, as well as an uptick in separations and divorces.....

Not to mention that since the virus is contagious before symptoms show, if any had it, all would have it quickly.

You do realize this thread is tongue-in-cheek right?

Right now I'm even viewing my wife as a potential asymptomatic carrier. ;-)

Yeah I was just going to say, the casual hookup and dating thing is going to be very very dry, so if you do have a significant other who isn't sick and who is in good health, cherish them! If there's not much cherishing happening, FIX IT!

I am so grateful for my blessings, (and modern medical science).

It is not essential. The fact is the human race has survived for thousands of years before hormonal birth control was developed. At best that’s a therapy for making people feel better. It’s not life sustaining

Your life is in danger every single day, a chance of harm does not justify disordered behavior.

And you can always choose celibacy
