    I can see that. Being in a monogamous relationship does tend to resemble living on a small private island we call the nuclear family.

    Yeah, I like this post. This information is kinda obvious, but I remember the happiness I felt when I was single for an extended period of time and had an extensive social circle. I am happily married now, but my social circle does resemble the private island you mentioned.

    When you are happily married, I imagine, it's so much easier to stay home together and watch movies. It takes effort to contact friends, to join things, and to go out alone.

    But I would rather spend time with various people, doing interesting things, than always being with the same person and not doing much.
