Vermont Legislator Proposes Bill to Decriminalize Prostitution. Very Anti-Woman.

Then don't pass laws which assure an explosion in monstrous abuse/abduction/imprisonment/rape.
Assure? You cant prove that. (And no your NYT article doesnt prove that.) You are assuming. And they already have such situations with people already exploiting and using those girls that way but those who know about it cant even say anything because most are doing it too or did it, meaning they were involved before they got trapped. Decriminalize it and then you have more people able to blow the whistle, turn in and actually investigate who is doing it legitimately and who is trapped, coerced, being abused/raped.

Human Nature Law #4: Make a large pile of money available, either through welfare or legislation, and a corresponding number of hands will emerge to grab it.

If you legalize prostitution, more prostitution will result, with the accompanying traffficking and violence. There will be so much more of it, too much to 'investigate and report' as you say. As per my NYT article, this has been documented in countries where prostitution is legal.

Poes law #1 spew the opposite of what yo believe in such an absurd way in an attempt to make people on one side of an issue look like mentally stunted fools

OK, Mark Quag down on the side that is fine with the debasement of and violence towards young women.

Some good points.

People are imagining high-end indie call girls in all this, when the realty is prison-like brothels for many sex workers.

I have been to such a brothel in Colombia. Even I couldn't stomach it. Most of the workers were Venezuelan and were TECHNICALLY there voluntarily. The owner provided them a place to "hide" as illegal aliens.

Legalization = Will lead to an explosion in trafficking

Then outlaw pimping. A transaction between two individuals is not trafficking. Such a transaction could even plausibly not be prostitution. If a guy asks a girl on a date and she replies, only if you take me to Morton's The Steak House, is that prostitution?

Equal protection of the law for unemployment compensation in our at-will employment States is more ethical and more moral.

I would ask how you got there from what I posted but we all know you just make crap up

Quag hasn't referred to any young females as 'oinklets' or 'creepy piglets.'

Vermont bill would decriminalize adult prostitution | Boston.com

MONTPELIER, Vt. (AP) — A bill has been proposed in the Vermont Legislature to decriminalize adult prostitution. The legislation is co-sponsored by four female legislators. Rep. Selene Colburn, a Burlington progressive, said she thinks that decriminalizing sex work will improve safety and health of prostitutes, mynbc5.com reported.

This is beyond outrageous, putting forth a law which would increase trafficking of underage girls and increase the instances of women being totally demeaned treated like disposable trash. and even though the claim is women must be 18, it is guaranteed girls much younger have and will be recruited and forced into the sex slave trade. And yet progressives like Elizabeth Warren called for similar legislation nationally.

Elizabeth Warren Joins Those Who Want to Decriminalize Sex Work

When you hear the #metoo rhetoric, this is in direct opposition. But when you look at the Marxist goal, it is to destabilize the family and trash national morality in order to weaken America. Then it makes perfect sense.

Legalizing Prostitution Leads to More Trafficking - NYTimes.com.

How do you on the left justify this?

Why? Because it is not in the woman's benefit for prostitution to be a crime. Human trafficking should be a crime, being a pimp should be a crime, women deciding to have sex for money should not be a crime as long as it is voluntary and women are checked so that they do not constitute a danger to public health. They should also be able to pay taxes, get rebates, get health insurance, etc. etc. etc. and that cannot happen if it remains to be criminalized.

Nothing flourishes in the dark, criminalizing prostitution helps no-one, least of all the women.

So you think the #metoo stuff is bunk?

Of course not, with the metoo thing one person is violating the other person's rights to not be sexually attacked//bothered.

What the other poster means was 2 people in the privacy of their home who are voluntarily participating.

Quag hasn't referred to any young females as 'oinklets' or 'creepy piglets.'

I do however condemn the actions of a boy sexually molesting his sister.

Yes indeed, I don't want God or his overzealous governmental drones to spy on my privacy like they want to do and are by using devices that can see through walls and hear through walls.

But...

[Democrat virtue signaling/misogyny pimping]

I'm afraid that's like Corporation X calling its employees contractors to avoid their legal responsibilities.

They're still employees.

It's worked so well in Amsterdam...

Is that what is happening where it is legal?
Trafficking is already exploding and it is the wealthy that support it.

Yes.
Yes & in part.

I'm still not going to Vermont.

You must have seen the South Park episodes with nothing but drones, creeping people drones, civilian neighborhood watch drones, police drones, military drones (and most of them armed with fire arms and police lights and sirens. Hilarious.

One of the lines of that episode was that an unarmed civilian drone had been shot by an armed police drone.

Does that mean that you'll take Interstate 87 instead of Interstate 91 when you go to Montreal?

Control of the transaction needs to stay between the two people involved. Impartial security for both parties should be the only service provided and at a reasonable price. In Cuba, that would be a Bed and Breakfast. In other parts of Latin America, that would be a "love motel". Both entities (B&Bs and "love motels") are there to equally serve both partners at a fixed price. Both partners maintain control to what they decide between themselves. Doing business with these essentially guarantees there will be no unexpected surprises. The woman is protected from violence and exploitation and the man is protected against theft. No one enters without valid identification being copied.
