Seeing a parent naked can help children understand what real bodies look like, and to better understand consent and boundaries

his week you may have heard about the Utah lewdness law, which a judge refused to overturn in a judgement against a woman who removed her top in her own home while applying drywall, and was seen by her stepchildren doing it.

This begs the question: is it really that bad for a child to see a woman’s naked breasts?

Step children aren't their own kids. The woman should have been jailed.
 
I can just see a boy say 10 years later "You're getting awful droopy, dad needs to trade you in for a newer model!".
 
When my children were young we used to go to a mixed sauna. No problems.

Nudity in and of itself is not bad for children. What is, is the uproar when it happens. Children don't sexualize bodies until they are taught to.

With that said, if a child at any point expresses discomfort, it should be respected. For example, my youngest son grew up with his mother and I regularly going around the house naked. And at times, cats will be cats, bathroom doors get banged open. We never bothered to shut it back, although we always started with it close. At one point, he expressed to his mother that he was uncomfortable seeing us on the toilet. Questioning revealed that that was all he had an issue with. He didn't mind our lack of clothes. As he got older, we did it less and less, but never raised a fuss if he saw us. He was never uncomfortable around nudity.

It is confusing when you have no idea what's going on but the nun tells you to stop rubbing it. IIRC, it was the girls who snickered at that.

It can be any class. Adolescent males get random, non sexually sourced erections all the time. As adult males, we still get them occasionally, usually of a morning.

This was not a naked woman in front of her step children. It was just her breasts. Any man can remove his top and reveal his chest, the same parts she revealed legally to anyone's children without any legal consequences.

Additionally all punishment/charges for such exhibitions should be based on intent not simply doing it.

I'm not a dramatic woman, so I dont even know what this means. I've been to a Chippendales show with my MIL and jumped up on the guy while on stage (won a free picture).

I dont care what they want to do. I dont really think most cases of nudity in public should be a crime let alone a sex offender crime. Such things are stupid and completely cheapen the whole point of sex offender lists.

Well seeing that breasts are for feeding children and at one point in their life they actually put their mouth on that part of their mother, no.

This is pretty stupid. If she was being lewd as in provocative that wouldn't be appropriate but to put up drywall?
