You would never have had a circumcision done by your own consent unless you converted to Orthodox Judaism.

I am very resentful my parents had me circumcised actually. Not enough to be angry at them about it because what’s done is done, but it’s medically unnecessary.

The guys I know that had it done as adults did not do so for religious reasons. In their cases it was a medical necessity.

It is a highly barbaric practice with no benefits whatsoever. It puts the newborn through unnecessary stress and pain and is more harmful than beneficial.

It is a Victorian relic and it is hard to grasp how Americans still choose to do it.

I was circumcised when i was twelve years old. I am glad that it was done, but it hurt for about two weeks.
