I'm trying to figure out why some of those who are worried about their school-age daughters being in the same bathroom as an adult transwoman are not also worried about their school-age sons being in the same bathroom as an adult cisgender man.

Transgender people are as dangerous and degenerate as people who wear hijabs, and those who irrationally fear them are just as sheltered and naive as Islamophobes.

They set a bad example for our kids. That's reason enough to not let them be exposed.

What is your criteria for "degenerate behavior" ?

Does harming others come into your criteria or is it just behaviors you don't like ?

Do Muslims set a bad example too?

There is nothing immoral about being a Muslim, just as there is nothing immoral about being transgender. Your children have the moral and legal right to present themselves as whatever gender they feel best fits them. You do not have the moral right to prevent them from doing so, and if you do you risk doing emotional damage to your kids and sacrificing your relationship with them. A good parent supports their child's identity exploration and is a safe place for them to get help and advice when they need it no matter how they choose to live.

Tolerance improves society. That it bleeds into families means that the younger generations become wiser and better citizens than the older generations.

To be against tolerance is to weaken your own society.
