While this may be the future of porn, I have problems believing humans can substitute a human for a machine and then pretend humanity has been recreated.
Porn has fascinated men since the dawn of time. Some of the earliest artifacts unearthed by archeologists have been "Venus" figures. Carvings of naked women, perhaps as fertility symbols, goddesses, or just plain celebration. We men have a certain perverted degeneracy built in, and some, no doubt find pleasure in onanism enhanced by female imagery. Rarely, if ever, has porn replaced the real thing, but it most definitely has been a significant influence for all cultures, during all times, no matter the moral tones and poses of any.
Whether or not a meaningful quality relationship between a man and an artificial substitute is possible is yet to be defined and determined. For those with limitations and challenges, it may be the only alternative. The war wounded paraplegic, or the sufferer of some other ailment. Who shall say otherwise?
Porn has never been only for men. Women, no matter claims to the contrary, have taken and will continue to enjoy the pleasures of porn. The largest market for porn today in America is the Bible Belt. By married couples. When my uncle was young, in college, his girlfriend, later his wife, had to buy him copies of Playboy, 50¢ each, because he was too cheap to buy them himself. When I was 13 stealing into his collection, I wasn't reading the articles or stories, occasionally the cartoons of Jules Feiffer, and later discovering the scifi stories. But the airbrushed photos and fantasies led to my first sexual experiences with Handgelica.
I pass no judgment except against those who would hypocritically deny any pleasure found by others with no harm done.
