Sexual Politics

Has sex become politicized in the last sixty years?

Or has sex always been political?

Has it become too politicized then, say in the last thirty years?

Does the politicization of sexual relations bode ill for sexual relations? Bode well? Or are you past caring about "the battle of the sexes"?

Or has politics outweighed nature in the balance?

Is it the case that the more politicized sexual relations have become, the more distant from natural relations have we become?

Is sex as mankind has known and enjoyed it from time immemorial over?

What do you think?

Putting the urge to have sex as the most important thing in life has caused many of these issues.

People tend to make things political because they are busybodies. And it's normally quite miserable and unhappy people that interest themselves in the affairs of others.

Such a sad and shortsighted OP.

There has always been politics and ideology involved in all things between man and woman. In this nation across all of its history up to and including today there has been political and ideological involvement in all things between man and woman.

Sex itself has also always been politically and ideologically impacted, mainly because some believe their opinions and beliefs should be inflicted on everyone else.

The consequence of that are those impacted responding. It is well documented how frequently in this nation the political pendulum shifts back and forth between conservative and liberal ideologies, well the exact same thing is true of social climate and usually because of that political pendulum where majority inflicts their views on the minority.

Sexual relations has always been a casualty of this mentality, because people have an incessant and terrible habit of wanting to influence the relationships others have.

Worse, it is all intentional.

The OP consists of a series of questions merely, one of which covers your bloviations on the topic. So perhaps you can explain in what way a series of questions on a topic is to your mind "sad and shortsighted"? Or why your bloviations, affirming the point of one of those questions, is not also "sad and shortsighted"?

The bottom line is any influence into society standard no matter if governmental or ideological or both that automatically politicizes the role of men and women, sexuality, relationships, what have you.

"Sexual politics" as you put it is the ends, not the means.

What do you think?

No matter our beliefs, we all can agree having sex is just plain fun.

Y'all do know there was a famous and very influential book by this name, yes?
And that y'all have been affected by said book whether y'all know it or not, yes?

Here's about the book:

Leave miserable and unhappy busybodies to their misery and unhappiness, I say. Let's not let them make us miserable and unhappy like them.

That's not bad advice. But sometimes they are related to you. You can't help but be involved in it.

It's one thing to say " forget about your mother, father, brothers, and sisters" it's not that easy to do it.

So when the busybodies are just random idiots you have no real connection with outside of working with them or going to school with them sure I agree 100%. When they are your closest family... It's not so easy.

I will just say this: #MeToo-ism is as repressive if not more so than the Victorian mindset.

Not always. If a man forces himself to have sex with a wife he is no longer attracted to just to avoid child support, alimony, losing half of his assets, becoming a visitor to his children, I wouldn't call that "just plain fun".
