I came across this little bit of information about a possible connection (and a cost) to cancer and oral sex. Here it is, from actor Michael Douglas:

You know what HPV is right? What point are you trying to make exactly?

He is looking for any justification possible not to have oral sex.

Michael Douglas: oral sex caused my cancer | Film | The Guardian
In a surprisingly frank interview with the Guardian, the actor, now winning plaudits in the Liberace biopic Behind the Candelabra, explained the background to a condition that was thought to be nearly fatal when diagnosed three years ago. Asked whether he now regretted his years of smoking and drinking, usually thought to be the cause of the disease, Douglas replied: "No. Because without wanting to get too specific, this particular cancer is caused by HPV [human papillomavirus], which actually comes about from cunnilingus."

Douglas, the husband of Catherine Zeta Jones, continued: "I did worry if the stress caused by my son's incarceration didn't help trigger it. But yeah, it's a sexually transmitted disease that causes cancer. And if you have it, cunnilingus is also the best cure for it."https://www.theguardian.com/film/2013/jun/02/michael-douglas-oral-sex-cancer

Interestingly, Douglas thinks that cunnilingus is both the cause and cure for this cancer. Well, at least he won't need chemo.

Rug munchers beware! Michael Douglas warns of fine dining at the Y.

Harvey Weinstein is in real trouble pursuant to some of the complaints. He had no style. But his second ex is all dolled up these days, for the red carpet and some new shopping. He had steak at home, went out for hamburger. Now, he's eating antacids by the economy bottle. Oral cancer is the least of his worries. It was herpes that brought him down, along with greedy brother Bob.

Mickey Rooney, king of the casting couch for non-existing movies lived to a ripe old age, amazing for a speed freak alcoholic.

The potential humor is mind boggling.

The biggest markets for porn and sex toys are among the most conservative population centers. Draw your own conclusions.

There is lust in my heart, and every other part of my body. :)

I'm not planning on stopping until I have to have my tonsils out. :nahnah:

A speed freak? Mickey Effing Rooney?
Sigh, I was raised to believe that Mickey Rooney never touched anything more dangerous than St. Joseph Aspirin for Children, and never drank anything more potent than warm milk.

That was the studio image factory at work. Watch some clips of him playing the drums. His drinking was legendary, and it was what killed his career for a time. Getting married as often as he did could drive any man to drink. :)

Today, even those few who remember him, most don't realize that musically he was the Stevie Winwood of his day. There wasn't an instrument he didn't pick up and master. The studios fed him and all the other child and young adult stars methamphetamine like candy to keep them working. We all know what happened with Judy Garland. Shirley Temple Black addressed this while she was in congress, writing articles and pressing for legislation protecting child actors.

Yeah I know, it was sarcasm.

My point is that if oral sex is dangerous, then we should stop doing it. At least that much should be obvious.

Already happened when I was a tot. I'm not stopping until our alt-Right overlords pull my America-hating commie pinko bleeding heart libtard tongue out.

So by that logic all sex should be avoided. We should also stop driving cars, cooking, drinking alcohol, smoking, showering, and many other things we do everyday.

I'll personally do some research on the dangers of oral sex tonight and let you know what I find out tomorrow.

No. In fact, if you can get away with it, I say go for it. This is merely a change in option.

I tell my doctors nothing they do will effect my longevity. A toilet seat will fall from sky hitting me in the head, destiny. Living is dangerous to your health. If death were all that bad, we all wouldn't do it.

70 years with a new pacemaker. Still baking. I refuse to live my life in fear. Tho my wife and the grandkids can be daunting.

All sex is dangerous. You just as likely to get oral cancer that you are to get vaginal cancer from the same virus.

Do you think people should stop having sex completely because it is dangerous?
