Here is commentary by Terrence Popp. Is a man that marries a woman over age 25 just setting himself up to get financially raped in divorce court?

You need to unplug yourself from this stuff and go out and meet some people because Jesus Christ this is deeply concerning.

The little picture of the youtuber in the upper left of the video cover frame makes me think it was posted to laugh.

I meet lots of people. I will have visited Latin America five times in seven months. My finances and time have recently lined up rather well. I would give my left hand to be able to live in Colombia full time with enough money to enjoy it and not just visit. Or I would settle for Mexico for a couple of fingers.

I take it that I'm not the only one who thought Mr. Popp too obnoxious to listen to after a minute or so?

Truly, I wasn't sure whether the video is presented (by the OP-er or Mr. Popp) as something we're intended to take seriously or whether it's produced/presented as purely adolescent/"Joe Frat" comedy. Mr. Popp expresses himself the way my younger brother did during high school and they early years of college -- the 1980s -- but that phase had passed by graduation.

A little "old school" phase here. A little "Valley/Frat" inflection there. Fine. Was I going to listen to 20+ minutes of prattling so? Hell, no!

I have listed to Popp's story. The picture is meant to portray: "Screw you, I am still enjoying life in spite of all the people who want to defecate on me".

I'm gonna enjoy and no wants to defecate on me. I think that's superior.

Popp's ex-wife ran him through the wringer.

Some guys choose poorly. I'm not gonna cry for 'em. Perhaps his mama shoulda taught him better.

I'll tell ya this, though. It takes a special kind of moron to choose a psycho and then recommend young women. Young women are gonna grow and change. The chance of them still being into the same things or even holding the same beliefs in 20 years is almost nill. Unless the loser plans to change with her, he's dooming himself with a person who will - in fact - change.

Of course a loser that blames others is gonna give horrendously stupid advice.

Oh look, another creepy thread by you.

In non-feminist societies, young women grow and change in synch with their husband. I can tell you that from personal experience. I never thought it at the time, but heartbreak as a kid sure beats heartbreak as a adult. A toxic half-sister is so much easier to scrub out of your life!

Dude in video cover looks over 25.

And you mean "at their husband's demand".

My thoughts exactly. He was mildly amusing for a couple minutes, but got pretty annoying pretty quickly. Especially the constant ads for his other videos.

I watched the video in the OP and a few of his others. The speech patterns and and cadence can be kind of jarring at first, but it's easy to over look after a bit. It seems like he went through a pretty nasty divorce and is quite angry about it.

I don't know why, but your post made me laugh so hard I almost passed out :)

Could be because I "woke and baked" this morning. But you are funny!

Please explain the bolded. Is this a typo?

It means that I'm bound and determined to relocate to somewhere in Latin America. If no other opportunity presents itself in the near term, then it will be retirement. Hopefully an IT firm will cross my path that wants someone to act as a go-between from their US team to their Latin American team. I was even planning on divorcing my wife to follow this path until she told me that won't be necessary. I was pleasantly surprised that she is willing to relocate with me. In the past six months and the upcoming month we will have explored Monterrey, Mexico; Cochabamba, Bolivia; Santa Cruz, Bolivia; Bogota, Colombia; Cucuta, Colombia and Cartagena, Colombia. Over the next couple of years, we plan to become familiar with Medellin, Colombia; Cali, Colombia; Manaus, Brasil; Belem, Brasil; Fortaleza, Brasil and maybe Recife. My wife's favorites so far are Cochabamba, Bolivia; Bogota, Colombia and Monterrey, Mexico. However, we hope to make sure we explore many options before making a decision. My wife reminded me to not overlook Central America as well. Panama and Costa Rica come to mind.

It's amazing how well one can live in Cochabamba on a grand per month.

What an existence you claim to have my friend. I think from time to time that you're full of **** and you're just using this forum as a channel for your fantasies.

Right now is one of those times.

Think what you want. There's nothing remarkable about making five trips for under 10 grand total. That is unless you find careful money management remarkable. The key is to leverage job changes. Always negotiate some time off as part of your starting package. The only thing annoying is you referring to my plans as fantasies. I think that they can be done. You overlook that half of what I'm referring to hasn't been accomplished yet. It's odd how you belittle people without doing basic research. Airfares from Miami to most cities in Colombia cost under $400, round trip. Greyhound will take you from Dallas to Monterrey, Mexico for $65.

As far as my wife goes, she said that she is betting that I will get tired of females that are one-third my age. She is probably right. She says that they have interesting stories to tell. It kind of happened by accident. She told me I could date other women if I took her along. She was shocked when I did. She referred to me as an Autistic moron, but that I'm her Autistic moron.

My wife really helps by reminding me not to fixate on sexual things and enjoy the other aspects of the places we go.

Alright, man. Sorry to mess with you. I'm no shrink but the way you communicate is very precise, not unlike computer generated speech. Your wife's diagnosis might be spot-on!

Happy Latin house-hunting!

No the **** she doesn't.

No the **** she doesn't.

Truth is stranger than fiction. She was actually relieved to discover that I wasn't shopping for her replacement. She has caught on to the idea that I consider playing around with 18-24 year olds as kind of a game. Her new role in the game is challenging me not to be fooled by sexy clothing and other tricks. My wife made fun of me at one venue when I chose a 22 yr old with droopy tits. She laughed and said that's what I get for not playing around with the one she picked out.

My wife after awhile tells me that I have degraded into doing this just to be doing it as a habit and she notices that it has stopped turning me on. She then suggests that we go be regular tourists. It turns out that her suggestion was a pretty good one. The odd thing is that tourist attractions such nice restaurants and Monserrate or the Salt mine / cathedral are considerably more expensive than a prostitute. It's also more satisfying to occasionally help someone financially without expecting anything in return. Even being very "clinical" about it and "empathy impaired", I can't wrap my mind around how extreme the neediness is for the Venezuelan diaspora in Colombia and Brasil. While I don't experience much empathy, I can see and deduce that the person sitting on the cardboard on the sidewalk can use ONE DOLLAR a lot more than I can. Experiencing the gratitude is nice too. These aren't people that are going to waste the handout on booze. These people truly need the help.

Without a doubt, having my wife along on these wild trips is a big bonus. It develops a side of me that would otherwise stay dormant.

So I endured all of that. Not quite sure what the guy's point was, if he had more to say than just that Emily's a ****ing unpleasant, bitter train wreck to be avoided as though she were Ebola.

If that's all he was getting at, then, well, yeah. Of course.

Gotta give the guy points for spinning out the immediately self-evident to 26 minutes, though. That necessitates a certain captivation. He's not without some native facility.
