this is the part of this whole discussion that is confusing to me. What things are women forbidden from doing? I don't understand what gender roles officially exist outside of motherhood but that is biology and thus can't be changed.

I think this it's just hipsterdom.

The only job a person does where their genitals come into play this pornstar and I'm pretty sure female pornstars get paid a lot more than male ones. So the only job where that would be a qualification women dominate.

According to this article, salary info is difficult to come by:

There's people that are aroused at the idea of gay men and straight men being together I don't get that either. I'm a gay man and I don't understand. Growing up I did find myself crushing on straight guys, looking back I don't think talking them into doing anything with me would be much fun.

I've never been much for pornography.

Not all men or women have the same natural inclinations though, and that is the point. Some men feel better, are more comfortable doing more feminine things, while some women are more comfortable doing more masculine things, jobs. It has nothing to do with force. It is allowing people to go against what you think they should be doing because of their sex/gender because they want to do it.

You're being completely disingenuous if you think the only reason that there's a pay gap is because "women want to work less hours". It shows that it's a very multi-faceted issue. If you want to boil it down to "women don't want to work more hours!" then there isn't much more to say as you're choosing to stick your head in the sand instead of actually reviewing the issue. Not surprised.

The thing that gets me about people who argue against there being a wage gap, or if it is, it's ALWAYS the womans fault, is that you basically ignore even a semblance of there being discrimination going on. If something is a standard, then no, a woman can't sue a company because she's making less money. I mean, unless someone literally says out loud "I'm paying you less because you have a vag", you're not going to know it's about discrimination. I'm all about not attributing to malice what you can to stupidity, but to act like the disparity is ONLY because women take less time is so wrong, it's not even funny.

Now if you want to say that this isn't as big of a problem that it's made out to be.... well then you're admitting that it's a problem just not one YOUR concerned about. Is that the case?

The only place that a real wage gap can exist is in jobs that pay salary and not hourly. When companies pay hourly wages the have a set rate they pay per man hour. (Please don’t jump on me for the term man hour. It is the term used in my industry to describe an hour worked by a single person) and it doesn’t matter if it’s a male or female working that hour. I’m not claiming it doesn’t exist. But it’s not as wide spread as most people claim.

If you knew anything about trans. 1 you would know you can’t make anyone trans that isn’t. It like saying you can force someone to be homosexual. You could force someone to do homosexual acts but that doesn’t make them homosexual. 2 what your taking about isn’t being trans. Your taking about transitioning which is where you take steps to appear more like the sex you identify as. It would be possible to force someone to transition. But it is illegal for anyone to force someone to transition. Just like it’s illegal to force someone to do homosexual acts. 3 it’s much more likely for parents to keep their children from transitioning. Even if a patent wanted to force their children to transition. To get the correct medicines and surgeries to transition you need a therapist to sign off on it and a bunch a medical testing done. In most areas in The United States it takes 1 year of therapy for an adult to get the therapist to sign off. But it takes 2 years for children. Even with that the doctor want do anything until the child hits puberty at which point the doctor will most like just delay puberty. The children who are actually transitioning have been through gender identity therapy and have already hit puberty.

Please if your going to start a thread do the research necessary. So you don’t sound like a complete id10t to people who really know the info.
