A college friend from Connecticut told this joke (it was also a joke made at the expense of Michigan Tech, the engineering school in the frigid U.P.) about Maine: “Maine, where the men are men, and women are, too.” Well. Connecticut could teach Maine a thing or two about women being men. This month, two boys competing as girls won first and second at Connecticut’s indoor track championships. “Good” people applaud this.

I’ve written before about how transgenderism destroys Title IX sports opportunities for girls and how this absurdly anti-science and anti-women stance will destroy women’s sports.

The image on the front page of the newspaper is revealing. It perfectly displays the differences between female and male anatomy and the biological advantages genetic males have against women even when the men are hormone blockers.

There are some musculature diagrams on the runner's bodies for reference.

I have grandchildren who are hoping to use sports as a boost into college, maybe even a scholarship. What happens to my daughter when she competes against a Michael Phelps with tits?

The entire structure of Title IX for women's sports is at risk due to not recognizing gender as binary.

Title IX has been destroying all the minor stports for decades, it needs to go

Isn't being a trans woman participating in women's sports about like being 26 year old participating in a 10 year olds boxing league?

I don't know why people would do this. Sports are about achieving something that is hard to achieve that you have to work to achieve. Having a male body and competing with women and defeating them is not an achievement.

It's cheating. Plain and simple.

I sympathize with their desire to compete in sports as the gender they identify with, but in certain sports transwomen have an unfair advantage to ciswomen that can be even more extreme than with performance enhancing drugs.

Sometimes our physiology prevents us from doing absolutely everything we want to do. No, it isn’t “fair”. It is life. So when we can’t make something completely fair then we should try to make things as fair as practical for as many people as practical. And allowing transwomen to compete against ciswomen in the more physical sports does just the opposite of that.

I have no problem with transmen competing against cismen, however, as they are voluntarily taking on the natural physical disadvantage.

This is the radical left's way of continuing to push for participation trophies and free stuff for merely existing without actually putting in any effort. They know that the more people are forced to fave reality and think for themselves outside of a safety net, the more likely they are to realize how stupid and immoral their policies are. Keep them blinded and drunk on fake praise instead.

As a huge sports fan, this is pure toxic sewage. Sports, bathrooms, changing rooms or any other realm traditionally separated based on physical differences between genders are no place for you imaginative fairtytales. You can identify as whatever the hell you want.. If you want to be a dog you're a dog, but that doesn't mean the law should be changed to force people to play fetch and rub your belly.

Title IX was never about opportunities for women. It's working as intended.

The only real answer is to tear down the gender walls regarding ALL sports. Let men and women compete openly and fairly...in the name of equality.

Transwoman Sets NEW RECORD In Women's Sprint, Is This Fair?

Umm not to anyone grounded in reality.

Bingo!!! "I am woman hear me roar". "Girls can do anything a boy can do", etc. That kind of talk is already costing lives. A woman who had no business being in the fire department, was killed while still in the academy during training. She was supposed to go out a window and down a ladder in a live fire training incident. She was overweight and out of shape, she wasn't strong enough to pull herself up over the window sill with her gear on. They pushed her through the hiring process. The F.D. has a stringent physical strength and agility test as one of the steps in the hiring process. She certainly shouldn't have been hired, and wouldn't have back in the day, when fire dept. applicants were hired on merit and test performance. Now they are so worried about hiring the right race and sex, they push inferior applicants through the process and academy training. When I was hired, we all stood in lines watching the other applicants as we waited for our turn at the strength and agility test. Then, one of the instructors giving the test walked up with 5 or 6 girls to be tested. The men were finished and "excused" to go to one of the academy classrooms and wait for the next phase. A couple guys wanted to stay outside and watch the girls take their turn at the test. Of course that wasn't happening. There are no female linebackers in the NFL. There are no pro female boxers competing against males. There's a reason for that.

Truth.

It's just not fair. Hormones determine physiology to enough of an extent that it's just not fair.

Yep. Maybe someday the medical technology will be advanced enough that the transition process truly does put trans-women on an even playing field with cis-women. If that day comes then I won’t have an issue with them competing against each other. But we aren’t there yet.
