(Vocabulary) Are you demisexual?

When did personal choices or personalities become genders and/or sexualities? These are more personality traits.

All labels are self-identifying, including homosexual and heterosexual. At this point, I don't really know what your point is, other than you flailing about going "It's just a label! It doesn't mean anything!" If your only point is to essentially call the people who identify themselves as "demisexual" liars, there's really not much more to say to you.
Did you type that a person who identifies as demisexual doesn't qualify as proof that demisexuality exists? Jesus ****ing christ. Where do these people come from?
...
And yes, if you are literally telling someone that what they feel, you're "doubting", then you're still calling them a liar. "What you feel is made up". Really?

If you choose to not believe someone when they tell you this is how they feel and who they are, then that's your prerogative. They have the right to roll their eyes and tell you you're an idiot.
I self-identify as Napoleon Bonaparte.
So do you two philosophes think it matters in the least that I'm not fluent in French?

I mean, you can literally go to a court house and change your name to Napoleon Bonaparte, so no, I do not think it matters in the least if you speak French.

If you care to call yourself *the* Napoleon Bonaparte, then feel free to say that as well and we'll point to his remains and say "but he's there. So you can't be him."

This is a ****ing stupid statement and you should feel bad for even saying it. You can't claim to BE a specific person. What you CAN do, is give yourself descriptors. Like "I'm a hetero-demisexual".

I would continue my thoughtline here, but I'm sure it'll be lost on you, so I won't expend any more energy. Ciao.

I'm afraid the "****ing stupidity" -- to borrow your colorful "descriptor" -- has already been produced, politicized and promulgated by those who shouldn't but do feel self-righteous about the blither you proffer in your post, having sold this particularly ridiculous and deleterious bill if goods to the unthinking masses by dint of decades of multimedia demagoguery and deceit such that even soft science buckled to the hysterical agitprop over time and as a result reality is now redefined along political lines. Still we are much obliged to you for the voluntary curtailment of your putative "thoughtline" as it removed any obligation to take seriously the nonsense about "descriptors," of which we therefore need merely point out that "I am (the) Napoleon Bonaparte" is as much an one as "I am 'hetero-demisexual" and both are given to the "pointings-out" you rely on in promoting the distinction without a difference on which your politics relies. But we are much obliged to you for your impassioned reply and welcome you to DP.

Namaste
