Well, I finally faced hate. A personal story.

Just saw this thread. I'm so sorry, Renae. I know it sounds trite, but it's their loss. You deserve better, too.

then these are the facts
- those that got off the team for being transgender are bigots
- those that got you off the team for being transgender are discriminating against you
- by definition it is hate
- turning them in for their violations is your choice, its just and if you do its of their own making

Indeed, this seems a perfect, tailor-made incident that would justify a lawsuit and the attendant media frenzy. Perhaps too perfect. If no legal action comes of this, I will suspect the whole account was fabricated.

There is an important detail missing from the story: Rosanne Barr at the shoe counter, wearing her MAGA hat.

Maybe I have you mixed up w/ someone else - and if I do, I apologize - but haven't you always said that people don't HAVE to like/accept/associate w/ you?

my if was followed by an EVERYTHING, which meant all the specific details. Hence why i made two lists. I wasnt there so if certain details didnt quite happen that way then my list doesnt apply 100% but at no time was i questioning if it happened at all. I have no reason to doubt the story.

You're very incorrect. I don't fabricate situations, I have no need too. If you want to believe some crazy tinfoil hattery, that's on you.

It is true. But I do expect that if I am trying to be respectful and explain, that you have the balls to talk to me face to face.

Calling people names is generally cheap and dickish and not helpful.

What we need are more individuals with the stones and the honesty to attempt conversation with those who upset them.

I really have no reason to hold a civil conversation with nazis, sexists, rapists, antivaxxers, conspiracy nuts, etc. They're assholes, I'm going to call them assholes. Sorry this triggers you. Maybe you just need to be tougher?

I have found that everyone has stuff to teach me, and me getting better is the point of my time, your approach looks to me like you slit your own throat, I certainly dont care to join you.

I'm sorry to hear about your experience. In my head, the offense is even worse because they accepted your transgender identity until you decided to appear as your authentic self. I say it all the time in this forum: Hate is alive and well and is a constant, dangerous threat to minorities of all types. I hope you are able to eventually turn your pain into a new, positive opportunity.
 
Next time go forth with boldness just as you are and damn everyone who can't accept you. You have every right to be there and bowl as all the other citizens do. Animals can smell weakness and your not going in the first time as your authentic self was their bait for hate. That was sensed as weakness. I'm sorry you are hurting when you absolutely should not be.
