There are several subforums in which you could have created this thread and, seeing it there, I'd have thought you were being droll, facetious or risible about the article/topic you've referenced in your OP, and, in turn, I'd have thought the OP funny....
But you put this thread in one of the substantive political discussion subforums, Sex and Sexuality.
Moreover, you haven't included any editorial commentary of your own in the OP. All you've done is quote an article from the science section of Daily Mail and provide a link to it. Even your thread title is lifted verbatim, down even to the capitalization, from the rubric article's headline. From that, it's clear Daily Mail takes the story seriously and, your failure to post any remotely jocular remarks of your own does not suggest you've taken/presented the matter or the article's content in any way other than seriously.
