From the sociological reports I’ve encountered over the years, it seems that about 10% of citizens in western societies are sexually promiscuous. They have sex with more than one partner within a time period of around one year. This means, and contrary to popular culture, 90% of us are monogamous or celibate.

The MeToo movement brings a challenge the promiscuous. In order for a casual sexual tryst to happen, both parties need to play the part of a fisherman: appropriate fishing location, appropriate lure, appropriate hook, and skillful play of the fishing line are all needed to land in the objective: get laid! If the fisherman’s game is not played properly, the tryst falls apart. But as this game is being played, one or both parties have to transcend the boundaries of what many people would consider unwanted sexual advances. So this fishing-for-sex game puts the players in a dangerous position as they are figuring out how negotiate with someone for a sexual encounter. The promiscuous can now face consequences: after a certain threshold has been crossed, the prospect can turn a fishing trip into a police charge.

Another angle to this social promiscuity is that some players are fairly direct in their approach. They are either misreading the signals that allow them to take their potential conquest to the next level of negotiation or are just playing a numbers game, knowing that their direct advances sometimes work. For example, a hand on the knee under the table will quickly establish if a potential partner is ready for more action. If the hand is removed, the offending partner knows the game is off—and can move to another prospect. But today, that hand can land the player in a lot of trouble.

While the sociological reports I encountered seem to indicate that poverty and youth enhances promiscuity, all demographic groups have members who are promiscuous. It’s safe to say that that 10% of avid supporters of the MeToo movement are also promiscuous—and are playing a game that is somewhat counter to their message.

So how do promiscuous players play their game in the age of MeToo?

I think it's way more than 10%. Where is your reference to establish such a low number? Look at all the men who throw away high-powered positions and wealth in order to hide that men, including themselves are naturally promiscuous. It's plain stupid for men to put themselves in positions where hidden promiscuity can blow up in their faces. Perhaps Jimmy Swaggart could have chosen a different line of work. What if Bill Clinton, following in the steps of Francois Mitterrand, openly maintained one or more mistresses? How can men openly pursue their promiscouousness without being bitten by #MeToo ?

I can tell you for a fact that in Brazil, it's common for young attractive single women have sex with their boss. Men are far less likely to hide their promisco.

What does an active sex life have to do with rape?

I can tell you for a fact that in Brazil, it's common for young attractive single women have sex with their boss. Men are far less likely to hide their promisco.

The reports I've encountered were quite upfront about the quality of their findings. Interviewees may both exaggerate or downplay their sexual history. But when several studies seem to suggest approximately the same values, maybe there is something to that.

From my anecdotal experience, I would say 10% of my social circle could be sexually promiscuous. A substantial majority are monogamous or celibate. In my youth, I would say 20% of my social circle were promiscuous. Another 20% were keeping their activities within a one-partner relationship. The other 60% were either delibately celibate or just didn't have the social skills to score.

The studies were all based on English-speaking countries. New Zealanders were the most active in terms of promiscuity.

I would take me a couple of hours to find the links, reread the articles, and post them. If you already believe that most Canadians, Americans, British, AUssies, and New Zealanders are hopping from bed to bed to bed, I doubt these studies will convince you otherwise. If you are truly interested in this topic, I'm sure you can find the studies.

"How can men open pursue their promiscuity without being bitten [eventually] by MeToo?" Good question. I'm glad I don't have that problem.

If the promiscuous men get caught with the wrong advance on the wrong lady, they now know the informal rules of the game have changed. There could now be big consequences, rightly or wrongly.

you could ask if what you want to do is ok before you do it

If I had to guess, it would be men that constantly hear "no" and don't know where to find a "yes", "si" or a "sim".

The New Puritans who run the #METOO movement as they are leading a movement to mold us for UTOPIA are clamping down hard on sexual freedom and in fact erotic expression generally. Those who are sexually promiscuous are increasingly Slut Shamed.

Keep Quiet, Work in the shadows.

Yeah, that 10% number seems way too small. But maybe that is because my single years were spent in college and the military.

I was very promiscuous before I met my wife. During my 20s I probably averaged 3 one-night-stands a month. The women I hooked up with knew it was just a one-night-stand and we were on the same page. There was never once any confusion over consent. It really isn’t difficult to determine if a woman is giving consent...unless you are on the spectrum perhaps.

I heard I think Jordan Peterson say that the top 15% of males get as much sex as the bottom 85%.....something like that.... he has studies..........this sounds about right, I have been saying for years that the most sought after guys get more than they can handle while increasingly the rest get nothing.

I really feel for these guys,a and what as more I see this as a risk to the society.....not just because of the anger in young men that this generates (which is a colossally bad idea to let this happen, I do say to women that they owe it to society to be more inclusive, which is of course not allowed to be said), but also this warps men generally....probably for life.

I say that they owe themselves and their sisters and all of society that they make the attempt, especially if they are lefties running around yammering about how important stuff such as inclusion, diversity and equity are.

We have so many problems, in that environment making young men warped and angry without caring and without trying to help is beyond stupid.

If you dont like what I think you can sue me.

yes could you stop saying that its ****ed up

yes recognizing that men are miserable when they cant get laid and that we often become biter angry violent over it is important

and deserves some understanding

but its worse to assault people it is not good to try and solve men taking sex by force by saying women oh it to men that's still rape

only a piece of **** would believe otherwise

Your writing style is disturbing.

I am requesting that people think further and behave better.

Make no mistakes here, I am claiming the High Ground.

your saying women owe men who cant get sex sex

your saying that is better

i know your claiming the high ground its showing how low and twisted you are

why dont you give it up to a guy 1st at least you would not be demanding of others what you yourself would not do

would still be ****ed up to demand every one else follow your example but baby steps

I said that women owe this to themselves, I said that women owes this to their sisters, and I say that women owe this to society....that they try to be sexually inclusive and not be so discriminatory as they are now.

Do I need to say it a third time?

That's my limit.

EDIT: Not running around constantly yammering their bold faced lie that Men Suck and thus need to be oppressed is also going to be required before we can get to work trying to save this society....Women have got to start learning how to prioritize.

I only ever read your top line btw....your posts are too dreary to read in full.

I am one of the haves, I talk about it here sometimes...BDSM, Swinging, in a sometimes Master/Slave relationship.....one of the top 15%.

I feel for the have nots however, I work to publicize their neglect, and their generally sad start to life....with likely life long consequences for them and as well the rest of us.

Any guy with even a modicum of personality: sense of humor, ability to carry on a conversation, no body odor...can get laid. So, I have no idea what the whine is all about from these incel types.
