Correct me if Im wrong but I believe the LGBT community is very left wing on the political scale. This can cause problems if you're in the LGBT community and you believe in certain right wing causes. Most of us don't agree with everything that our political party stands for as no political party is perfect but from my own experience it seems that the anti gay crowd is strongly conservative while the gay rights crowd is strongly or at least somewhat liberal.

Last year a friend and I were discussing this very topic.

She felt that it was natural that most gay people identify with liberals considering the cruel treatment by cowardly bullies at school and at the rejection of gay children by some so-called parents.

She suggested that I watch a 2016 French film called "Baisers Caches" ("Hidden Kisses").


I did.


Now I understand why many gay people feel that liberals are the lesser of the two evils.
