Men getting aroused by giving women money for nothing?

Speaking for myself and most of my American male counterparts, touching a woman costs us nothing. All we need to do is be respectful and romantic. Not surprising your life experience differs.

You mean date her until she let's you touch her?

If money is your concern, a prostitute is cheaper.

Really? I met many women online in my early 30's and had a many hot, enjoyable relationship. All I needed to do was not be a dick. Again, it's no wonder your experience differs.

I wish you'd tell us the names of those sites where you can meet women like that.

what you can get.

Yeah, it's not about power. It's the same as a magazine, if one could pay the magazine to get stuff. I tried to give a magazine cash but it didn't do anything. At least it didn't talk back. If the magazine demands medical coverage, a woman will be the same thing as a picture. Of course, equating pictures and people isn't dehumanizing at all. People marry magazines all the time.

Why would men go to a place to get ripped off?

Now I grant you that the people working in strip clubs are out to make money from you. But the establishments don't want you to have a bad time.
They want you to come back again and again.

Think about it, they're businesses.

And no customer exerts power over any of the people employed in them.

I don't think I was ever in one in Georgia. In Illinois, near East Saint Louis, assuming it hasn't changed, there were several. It was interesting to stand away from the stages and watch how much money was being thrown away. When I was 18, they let me in, but I just bought a couple sodas. I didn't want to push my luck.

It's the same MOTIVATION.

The difference between an adult magazine or video and going to a strip club is that it's live action (plus you get a beer and a burger)

Nobody goes to a strip club to exert power over anyone.

Do you think going to a prostitute is an exercise in exerting power?

I asked you if you thought a mugger robbing someone was motivated by exerting power over his victim - I didn't see your answer.

If you have to invest money in order to have a no strings attached, fulfilling intimate relationship with someone you're doing it wrong.

AOL and Yahoo. Again this is back in the 90's. Both AOL and Yahoo messenger had sophisticated and free member search engines. Today, "Plenty of Fish" is a great way to meet people.

Or standards are unrealistic. That's the problem 99% of the time. Most people have empathy and can fumble about.

Atlanta (South part of the city) has quite a few.

The "dancers" can and do get naked and the bar doesn't charge crazy prices (like they do in Amsterdam).

No-one is exerting any power over anyone though. If you don't want to throw money at the girls, then stand back and don't.

You're in Seattle where the current women to men ratio stinks for men. It sounds like you're teaching some ancient history here.

A "no strings attached" relationship ?
What kind of relationship is that - except one with a professional?

Just saying that if money is your main concern, a prostitute is cheaper - unless you're stupid and catch something.

It amazes me this neanderthal thinking, that sex has to be transactional, money for sex. Just not being a dick - being creative, romantic, complimentary - listening to and remembering what a woman tells you can be the ultimate aphrodisiac.

No-one's saying that sex has to be a transaction. BUT if money is your concern...or you want no strings attached, then a professional is the way to go.
In terms of $$$ spent, a professional is way cheaper.

And if you do decide to go that route (or simply go to a strip club) you and NOT exerting any power over the professional.

I generally go with a "how you doin'", like Joey on Friends. If I drop standards entirely a nod will do.

The whole "I can't figure it out" is hilarious. Someone tell them, "dude, you're not a movie star, aim low and smile wide".

My buds and I together a couple times a year and go to strip clubs. When we go we get the VIP sections and drop a lot of money, but certainly not more than we can afford to spend. We treat it like going to Vegas. We are going to spend a bunch of money with no expectations of anything in return except a fun time with silly stories to tell.

It is fantasy and a break from routine. Some of us even bring our wives on some of the trips, or at least those of us that have wives that enjoy that kind of thing, which is about half of us.

Now, if you are going in looking to hook up with someone then you are going in with the wrong attitude. If all you want is to buy sex then there are probably cheaper and more sure fire ways to do that. Though when I was in my 20s about half the time I went to strip clubs I got a woman’s number and hooked up later, free of charge. But I was single and pretty good looking back then. Nowadays my wife more than meets those needs and even if I was single one night stands just don’t appeal to me anymore.

But a good lap dance is an awesome experience in its own right. Of course finding the good ones can be a challenge. Too many dancers think it is just about grinding on you.

And some of the things those ladies can do on the polls is insane!

Old "Cougars" just don't do it for me.

Being satisfied with Cougars doesn't hurt either, eh?

Declarations on life from a position of ignorance are hilarious. You've been with women who had more money than you, presumably. You've met women at places and went home with them, right?

If you want to take it that way, I guess. It's not all men, course. If a man spends money on a woman, he should be putting peg D in slot C. It escapes me how a man can open his wallet without that happening. In several South American countries, it's understood that she puts out if he buys her a nice dinner. To hedge his bets, he can tell her how America is crazy and men get consent text messages for sex before a date so they don't get accused of rape. She will likely oblige and it removes all doubt.

Whatever his reasons, it's ludicrous for you to try and make out like these men are being victimized. You tried to blame women for what even you imply is stupid and weak.

If anything, I would blame culture. In the #MeToo environment, it seems like the only safe arousal is giving women money for absolutely nothing in return.

But not the stupid weak men. Got it.

Men are the victims.
