Trans folks- what is the big deal?

Why would you guess that?

Because many men are very vocal on how they are never even attracted to gay men. That they 'can tell'. They are very insulted at even the suggestion and if gay men hit on them, they also get upset and even violent.

Not afraid at all. A great many just don't approve.

Who are strangers to approve or disapprove of how other people identify themselves?

Translation: You don't have a problem with other people's experiences unless it starts becoming visible to you. The **** does "force itself upon normal culture" even mean?

It's simple...for millennia everyone understood the FACT that there are 2 genders. That's it. 2 genders. All of a sudden we as a culture need to have opposite genders in the restrooms, dressing rooms, clubs, sports, etc. etc....too much is never enough for those who want to destroy our culture.

How does it destroy culture?

Simply and clearly put, MEN have problems with Transexual people because it in some strange way threatens their masculinity. Women do not seem to take issue much as they do not with Homosexuality. I find it somewhat telling and indicative of both intellectual prowess and machomania when a male shows such disdain for someone based on this rather ignorant criteria.

I am a woman (last time I checked, anyway. ;)) and I have a problem with trannies.

Okay...lets evaluate. WHY do you have a Problem with "Trannys"?

I don't have a problem with them if they do not try to use the women's washrooms, or demand to get into a women's shelter, which is meant for women, not for men/people who have a penis.

And before anyone accuses me of being callous, I just want to say that I do not "hate" trannies or that I want to subject them to humiliation. I know it's bad that they have a huge conundrum when needing to pee while out in public. But I do not see why I should have to be made uncomfortable just so that they can feel comfortable. My feelings as a biological woman are just as valid as those of a tranny's.

Thanks for answering. I'm just wondering how you would know (considering womens restroom configuration) that the person in the stall next to you gas a penis?
If a woman with masculine features or facial hair walked in would you feel uncomfortable?

You are welcome.

To answer your question, of course I would not be able to know for certain. Nor would I be always right. Mostly I do a quick once-over at someone from head to toe, if they truly look like men, then I would be very uncomfortable. I probably wouldn't confront them or tell them to get out. I would just quickly get out to go to another restroom that has no trannies.

Probably. If they truly look like dudes, I would be alarmed.

Does your alarm come from fear of being accosted or peeped on, or is it some other issue?

Seriously, Why do trans people freak you fragile people out? I seriously don't get it. And yes, this belongs in current events because it is a current issue. Trans people are who they are, they don't want to rape your kids or make you gay. They are just being who they are.

Why are you so afraid of trans folks? This issue has never made any sense to me at all. Someone needs to tell what their opposition to trans folks is.

To be honest I don't think I've ever come across people who think trans people are going to rape their kids or turn them gay. So who exactly are you addressing?

I'm guessing that alot of straight men are literally terrified that a) they'll find themselves attracted to a trans-woman and b) are freaked out about even being in the position to make that mistake.

Just IMO, it's a guess.

Personally I don't know how I would feel if I was a straight man and I met a woman who wasn't honest with me and dated me for a couple of weeks only to discover she had a bigger hog than me. I would think a straight man would be pissed off about that.

Anyone can disapprove, but approval of Any Given person isn't necessary or needed.

Basically put you do you. If that means disapproving random people's haircuts for the way they dress, go for it. If it means if you want to be a lady but you were born a guy that's cool too.
