One of the hardest things about being a man

It would solve some problems in the conservative states....

Edit: Don't go to a public toilet in Italy! Nary a toilet seat to be found! We came home and I was going to buy a boxcar full and ship them to the Italians. They won't have them. In the hotel rooms yes, in public it's a balancing act!

Korea... Toilet is a hole in the floor and you are lucky if you have what looks like a walking stick to aid you in the squat and hover routine.

I mean - every single surface is covered in bacteria, and if you think about it, you'll lose your mind. But a bathroom door handle? All the people who don't wash their hands when they go? *shudder* I don't even use a public bathroom if I can help it.

Actually we did experiment with school bathrooms vs. other surfaces... The verdict?

Your computer keyboard is nastier than almost any other surface. The bathroom was almost pristine in comparison.

in a restaurant, the "winner" would likely be the menus. lots of grubby nose-picking, crotch-rubbing hands held it before you
bon appetit!

Its somebody who acts in ways that I don't like.

Is that a universal theory anyone can apply or simply a personal statement?

If universal then not liking someone who does not answer questions directly does that make them not a man?

If personal why be gender specific when either gender can fill that role.

When you're of the masculine gender there is tremendous responsibility. And lots of guys don't live up to it.

Responsibility like what?

Would being man enough to answer the question directly be good example?

yes well when you're of the feminine gender there is tremendous responsibility and lots of gals don't live up to it either

it's called being a sloppy human being...it comes in all sizes and all sexes

One of my first jobs was as a janitor.

Trust me.

Women's stalls were the worst. And I worked in a telephone exchange where they still had women operators at the switchboards... Roughly twenty female stalls for every male stall.

White Mice EVERYWHERE... Sanitary pads clogging the pipes. Foot prints on the seats from women who did not want their tender derriere to touch plastic. The splash damage that caused. HUGE wads of toilet paper. Some women must have used half a roll per sitting.

that's interesting. i didn't expect that the women's bathrooms would be worse. i routinely see :

piss everywhere, including on the floor
****. splattered ****. **** charcoaled onto the toilet seat.
used toilet paper sitting on the back of the toilet and on the floor. who in the **** does that?

One of the hardest things about being a man is this, one of the hardest things a man has to put up with is other men. There are too many people who are of the masculine gender who don't deserve it.

Like any gender there are assholes, but no where have I ever seen where I have to "put up with them"; your boss is an asshole, change bosses.

One of the things for which I am most grateful is my addiction which led to recovery in AA, and discovering there are many, many awesome men, people I respect and sometimes envy (in a good way).

I believe we attract other people who are at or near our own level of maturity.

This is kind of a typical DP thread.

Starts with a badly explained premise and devolves into not only the men's room, but the pisser.
Save this one, it's a

Wow, my experiences have only been using the urinal, seeing someone running into the restroom out of the corner of my eye, then looking back over my shoulder and seeing a woman dart into one of the commodes while looking at me, making the "shhh" gesture!

That's a pretty aggressive pickup line you received there dude! Is there more to the story?

Oh, it was a general quarters call out, not individual.....

So has the OP fleshed out his remarks?

I don't quite understand what is so difficult about being a man unless you're homeless, in a combat zone, have a demanding job you hate but must do for some reason etc.

Otherwise, just enjoy every day as if you'll never get it back & appreciate your blessings.

Common knowledge...

Which we all know is invariable incorrect

...but male deaths at young ages are also more frequent. And that includes infant mortality.

Statistically, males die earlier than females - this is often seen as a reason why male births (slightly) outnumber female births.

However in an ideal world, there would be something like a 1:20 male:female birth rate

Well just look at the prisons. By far, and I mean BY FAR most of the people there are men. And that just goes to show you how men all too often don't live up to the responsibility if being men the way they get in trouble so much.

And most of the assholes in this world are men. Yes there are women assholes too but as I point out in a previous post, which gender makes up most of the prison population?

You will also find more male babies that die at birth or are stillborn than female babies.

What are those responsibilities? You keep giving us very unmanly generalities.

Well for one thing, don't do stuff that will get you in trouble. Men are more prone to getting in trouble than women are.

Those other men you speak of are male feminists, also known as manginas. The hardest thing about being a man is being subjected to double standards.

Which gender gets lighter sentences for the same crime?
