Scientists uncover 20 genes linked to being transgender – supporting claims the condition has a phys

The bottom line is transgender is not natural. The change is only in the mind, since all the needed physical changes need to be manmade because it is not found in nature; needs surgery and drugs. The study found genes, but these are connected to neurological processes and not any of the physical processes needed for metamorphosis. It is in the head, and is not much different from thinking one is a bird. This change may happen in the brain, but it can never become real without unnatural manmade intervention. This is big bucks so the salespeople will feed the gullible what they wish to hear.

Let me give an example of leftist thinking. We have a cow, whom the cow whispers on the left, say, the cow thinks she weighs an extra 500 pounds. The left will call that natural, even if the extra weight is not happening spontaneously in reality. The cow may be asked to wear bulky clothes to create the illusion to support they conclusion. To justify this as natural, we do surgery and give the cow growth hormones, so she gains the 500 pounds. Then the left says, see she was right in thinking she was a larger cow. This somehow appeals to the left as logical. In liberal arts fiction and fantasy can often be made better than real life.

I tried playing football, getting married, having kids, joining the military, living the man's mans life.

I was miserable, utterly miserable.

Today, I'm a very happy and out Transwoman, and I know y'all are dead wrong.

Congratulations. Not only is this post completely devoid of logic, but it also demonstrates that you have zero education on this issue. Perhaps you should learn some basics before you speak about a topic.

Science is not self sufficient when it comes to resources. It depends upon private and public sector funding, which is vulnerable to politics. Right now there is a political leftist push to define 50 or more genders. If you do not agree there is a social penalty. A high school student was suspended for saying there are two genders. Picture if you were learning this in college and you questioned this assumption. It will be called hate speech and censored. No science research will be allowed to deviate.

The conclusion of 50-plus genders is way ahead of provable science. Politics is leading science education, with money and fear, to make it appear to be real, via the cowering consensus. There is a peer pressure and promises of money; stick and carrot, to create faux science.

If you recall, wasn't there a large social experiment, promoted by members of the science community, where little boys and little girls were forced to play with dolls of the opposite set. The premise was male and female gender roles in culture were programmed at childhood. The science assumed the differences in male and female roles were not genetic, but social. If this science was considered valid, and the male and female social identity, is a programmed by culture, and we know male and female differ by an entire chromosome, why is transgender, with only a couple of genes, also not a cultural construct. This paradox is called political science. The question I was have for the professionals is, was it possible to mutate some of the little boys and girls with the doll experiment? This would show it is possible to socially mutate natural into unnatural.

The way the left works is to isolate phenomena out of context, so they appear valid as a self standing thing. The entire topic argues with this optics. Once you add context then you can see you can't have it both ways. The propaganda about male and female being a choice is not consistent with the opposite claim that transsexual or homosexual is not a choice. This is due to the large difference in the number of genes; full chromosome versus a few genes.

If genes were so important, why did we even run that dolls tests? Wouldn't suck an unnatural experiment that cause damage to the natural? The goal was not science, but agenda, with science wiling to do anything for money, and/or to be left out of the political witch hunt. The science swamp needs to be addressed especially in the life sciences; soft science.

I consider it an unfortunate programming error (brain wise) where there is a mismatch between physical self and pre-programmed mental image. In effect, I don't think they can help it (it's not on purpose).

It's already been rumored that when the DSM 6 is released, Gender Dysphoria and Transgenderism will not be listed as a mental illness. Now if we can get the WHO on board.
 
Docs are supposed to study their procedures.

That hasn't happened much for transgender operations. The field needs review, and prob a shakeup.

The whole thing is a bit too slapdash for my taste.

Moot point, genes play a role in murder or rape as well - doesn't mean it's any less of a deviation from nature.

Yes, the FOUR leaf clover is a DEVIATION from the NORM but it is a STANDARD DEVIATION.

Nature, genetics in particular, is not bound to some human construct of purity. In fact, when a genetic strain becomes TOO pure, the result is profound birth defects. Therefore Nature seeks out some variance in the gene pool from time to time in order to encourage a wider diversity in the genetic information.
This genetic diversity strengthens the genetic material.

Unless you can offer a path of treatment that would end with me being happy as the man I was born physically as... I'm all ears.

You can do whatever you want. Surgeries, hormone therapy..anything, as long as you don't expect the tax-payers to foot the bill. I really don't care.

A little common sense would tell you that this a load of crap. A person with a "trans" gene would be less likely to reproduce than one without it (and before people go all stupid and claim that I'm saying that they don't reproduce, I'm saying that they reproduce less). Over time, those genes would gradually be bred out of the genome. Since such a gene doesn't add to the individual's ability to survive, there's no evolutionary reinforcement to have it passed on. Sorry, but the theory has huge gaping hole in it.

It most certainly can be a mental illness. I'm not saying that in every single case it is, but I will guarantee you that there are a large percentage that are suffering from body image dysmorphia.

It's a group of 20 genes. And, appearently, the people who have felt discomforted by their body image has been around for just about forever. For example, the native Americans recognized 5 genders (they called the so called gender fluids 'two spirits'
