Trump used campaign money to pay her off. The man is probably dead broke and he needed the campaign $$ to pay her off. This I am 98% certain of.
He can still implicate Cohen and claim he didn't know anything about it. Cohen has to flip on Trump.

Trump doesn't hold a candle to Obama when it comes to lying. What's more, when liver-lips Obummer lied it cost people their doctors and health insurance, etc.

They are going to keep digging with this story as hard as possible. Its not like we have come to expect anything else from the current media and when this falls through, we will see some other waste of time story.

You name one time when you feel Obama lied, and it is not clear that he did lie. Just because what he said did not turn out to be true does not mean he was lying at the time he said it.

If you honestly believe something and then say it, you are not lying, regardless of whether it turns out to be true or not.

Trump rarely speaks without either lying or exaggerating.

You don't understand right wing language. The definition of a lie differs depending on the political party of the speaker. If it's a Democrat, he or she lied if the statement turns out to be inaccurate. Intent to deceive or a Democrat's belief that it's true is only relevant if the speaker is a Republican. That's why Trump is such an honest president. He never lies. He just says stuff that isn't true.

Since Obama obviously lied so much more than Trump, surely you can find a right wing source to substaniate that? I mean we both know Fox would be all over that.

Actually there is a bit of a problem with that statement (according to some reports about Mr. Trump's lawyer's comments) and that is that Mr. Trump's lawyer "facilitated" (read as "advanced in the expectation of reimbursement") the $130,000 from his own pocket but "Team Trump" hasn't actually paid him back yet.

IF "Team Trump" pays him back, THEN the payment will have (indirectly) come from "campaign money" - but it hasn't yet.

However, IF "Team Trump" pays him back, THEN the payment would have been a "campaign expense" which had to be reported - which it wasn't.

And, IF "Team Trump" incurred an "unreported campaign expense", THEN they would have committed an illegal act.

What all that means is that, unless Mr. Trump's lawyer can present documentary evidence that he was to be reimbursed for the $130,000, THEN he has about as much chance of getting the money as I do.

On the other hand, IF Mr. Trump's lawyer can present documentary evidence that he was to be reimbursed for the $130,000, THEN he has some hard questions to answer from his State Bar Association.

Not necessarily. Facilitate means to make or help make a task easier. Cohen simply creating the Delaware LLC could be considered facilitating the payment in and of itself.
