No it doesn't you don't ever refer to a woman is a drag queen nobody ever thinks that you're talking about a woman when you mentioned drag queen it does not transcend gender. It is specifically about gender.

Well, you are welcome to take that up with Ru, she was forced to appologize and her fan base (including a large number of active drag queens) were against her stance.

Drag queens are males, bulldykes or dykes are females. If someone would explain what a trans-female or male is (I can't remember which is transitioning to what) I'll explain what they are also.

Drag queens are men. Half the challenge of drag is trying to create something that's not there naturally.

Female hormones create the things they are trying to imitate and take away a lot of the challenge of drag.

Have you ever actually watched Drag Race? They do challenges specifically about imitating a female shape while wearing as little actual clothing as possible so there's nothing to hide behind. If a trans woman -- or a cis woman, for that matter -- were on Drag Race, she could basically just do nothing, walk out, and win. That's not particularly fair when the whole point is showing craftsmanship.

I mean, if this is so "terrible," why have I never heard anyone get mad that they don't have cis women on Drag Race?

The whole point of drag is female impersonation. This makes no sense unless you think trans women are invalid as a real identity. You can't have this both ways.

I don't know how much of a backlash there is in reality as I've heard nothing about it, but whoever is mad about this doesn't understand drag, and also doesn't understand what transition is.

Forced means it wasn't by choice. That implies he paid lip service to assclowns because it would damage the career he made.

Ru Paul didn't have a change of heart if he was forced to apologize. So I wouldn't have to take it up with him.

His fan base is simply wrong. A drag queen is by definition a man dressed liked a women. I can think of trans women as men I already do anyway. It seems to go against the general push of trans people but if you want to undermine it be my guest.

At least aim this correctly, dude. This is nowhere near most LGBT or feminist activists. There's actually a pretty large and vocal opposition, if you were to pay attention. And then there's also just tons of groups doing their own thing.

Hell, even Lacy Green has flipped on these people, and she is still most definitely a feminist by every definition, and a pretty mainstream one at that.

I don't pay a whole lot of attention to that sort of thing because my sexual orientation does not drive my politics. The other gay people I know don't really talk about politics. So I only know what I hear.

I'm firmly with Laci Green and I would say she's feminist by dictionary definition but not by the social definition. Frankly I believe in equality of the Sexes so by dictionary definition anybody who does is a feminist.

Read The Verge from feminism is one day talk about male privilege and how many to acquiesce so that they can speak up to me that's anti-feminism. Because it doesn't see women as equal it sees them as needing men to do something in order for them to have equality.

And I will Guild on this because for whatever reason the most outlandish people who claim to be this or that are the ones who get the most attention.

So sure they clearly wouldn't represent all of feminism I would think it's strange to hold on to that title after it's been sullied. But that's just semantics.

K. A trans women will always be a man regardless of the hormones he takes or surgery he has, same for a trans man.

Would drag king be derogatory ??
