Locker Room Talk and Sexual Harassment

Than I should've clarified. If somebody tries to engage with me in locker room talk which could include asking about my sex life and my sexual history, if I tell them its none of their business and they persist than I should be able to press charges for sexual harassment or at least file a complaint.

I don't see an actionable complaint any more than if they ask you your favorite ice cream, you say its none of their business, and they persist. Now if that is against some law or rule at the location you speak of, then OK.

Why should one type of verbal harassment be more wrong than a different type of verbal harassment?

A person's sex life and their favorite ice cream flavor are two different things.

Planar, name one person for whom revelation of their favorite ice cream might cause embarrassment, or worse.

so if a guy walked up to you and said he preferred big black penis that would be no different than him saying he preferred vanilla ice cream?

Why should one type of verbal harassment be more wrong than a different type of verbal harassment?
It has to do with what's deemed offencive.

Would you say that a woman talking about her menstrual cycle and the flow of blood she's experiencing is more offencive or less offensive than talking about how much you like for Catcher in the Rye?

Women are something else. One guy they think is cute, hot, etc. says something, and they get all giddy and gossip with their friends about this guy they like and what he said. A guy they have no interest in does the same thing, and they scream sexual harassment, and they gossip with their friends about what he said.

Got the names of any women who have done this, or is this just another delusion for right wing snowflacks who are afraid of women?

Why is it that some people deny things that everyone knows happens?

When I was in 3rd grade I was watching some boy flirt with a girl. Though I didn't consider it flirting. I simply thought they were playing around. I saw one guy flip the girls skirt as she was walking down the row, just barely but enough to send it flying upward. She giggled and continued walking down the row. I wanted to join in on the fun so did the same. She got all upset and told the teacher about it. I was sent to the principals office. Got paddled for it. Got home and my folks explained to me what was actually going on. Since then I seen the same thing happen countless times.

Yet apparently in lala land it just doesn't happen.

So you do not think grabbing a girls skirt and flipping it up is sexual assault?

No wonder so many right wingers think women cannot tell the difference between sexual assault and simple flirting! It is because rightwingers do not know the difference

Maybe some day, Kal, you will learn the difference between talking to a girl, and sexually asssaulting her. I hope it happens before you end up in jail

Deemed offensive by who?

Don't you see the slippery slope?

The culture is changing every day, and every day I see things that are offensive to me.

If you are allowing society to deem what is offensive, that can really backfire.

Deemed offensive by who?
A jury of your peers or a magistrate.

Don't you see the slippery slope?
No, sorry.

The culture is changing every day, and every day I see things that are offensive to me.
So file a complaint.

If you are allowing society to deem what is offensive, that can really backfire.
Sure it could, but a society that has no standards is really anarchy.

You're sharing it now, bragging about it in fact, which is why most of us probably don't believe you.

Well you see there is one Vital Difference you see, I'm anonymous and I really don't give a rat's ass what you believe.

All too often young men in high school and particularly college like to engage in "locker room talk" where they talk about and boast about sexual stuff they've done. They say stuff such as "I did this, she did that, ect." Anyway, I don't always want to engage in locker room talk and as a matter of fact most of the time I don't. So lets say a guy tries to have locker room talk with me, lets say he asks me something such as if I've ever been laid, can I press charges for sexual harassment? After all, he is making lewd conversation which I believe would be grounds for sexual harassment.

He has his first amendnement rights. That is tough.

Low numbers and lack of practice?

So another words I could go up to a random woman on the street and ask her if she would like to do this and that and get into graphic detail and not have to worry about her running to the nearest police officer and me being arrested. After all, I've got my first amendment rights.

Im speaking hypothetically of course, not that I ever would do that.
