I have noticed more and more women are going braless today. I am totally fine with this in a casual setting, however, in a work setting this is totally unprofessional.

I wonder women who do not wear bras or show a massive amount of cleavage at work, do they expect to be taken seriously? Do they consider themselves professional?

I just think this creates a dangerous situation as if her superior is a male, he can be accused of sexual misconduct for telling her to wear a bra. This could potentially cause her superior to lose his job and be blackmarked as a sexual predator.

Would you say also that women look increasinging sloppy generally, like they are not making an effort?

Having a dress code isn’t sexual misconduct. Though I also don’t have a problem with women going braless or showing cleavage. I haven’t found it distracting since I was a teenager.

I don't have a problem with it, it definitely improves the visual atmosphere. I don't think they do it to be taken seriously as a professional.

I once worked at a casino. The supervisor at the time was informed that one of the female cashiers was not wearing a bra. He was too embarrassed to talk to her about it so had another female supervisor talk to her about it. (I know he was embarrassed because I was standing next to him when he was informed of it...his face turned beet red and his whole body language showed someone eminently embarrassed...it was amusing)

A brunette at the gym I attend has large breast. Her mom used to be a cook at my middle school...... way back when.

I walk some before I get on the treadmill and go for a nice run. Ms.Brunette walks by me enjoying her gum.... and her nipples are reaching WAYYY out.

( hunch back - bend arms " Steven Urkle " style & sniff loudly ) ----> "Did I do that?"

Women. Compliment them while they wear the short skirt, or low cut shirt and push up bra, OR the tight painted on blue jeans and you are trash. A Pervert. The scum of the earth. But they will go out of their way to walk by you - so you will notice them....they need to see if you give them that glance.

Its an esteem & ego thing. They want the look and smile ; but *amn you if you open your mouth.

You really said, "did I do that", in a Steve Urkle voice?

That post is so sexist and so creepy. It's amazing anyone would admit to acting so creepy, and more amazing anyone would try to justify it by blaming women in general. You believe it would be fine for every guy in the gym to harass her as she walks past?

Pathetic that most of the men in this thread are OK with it because it visually pleases them, rather than the fact that bras can be uncomfortable to wear and that's why a lot more women aren't wearing them. Unless you truly need the support or you're doing a lot of physical activity, there isn't a big need for one. The wire can dig into your skin and over the course of the day it can hurt.

Jeeze don't you people have wives or at least girlfriends who've told you this stuff?

Women do that "LOOK AT ME! LOOK AT ME!"...and if we do we get Told Off as creeps....it is a sadistic game women do now.

It's a natural biological urge to show off ones attributes to the opposite sex so not sure how its sexist.

It's also become a unnatural sociological urge to speak against anyone that openly takes notice of that same biological urge. IE: You only call it "sexist" due to sociological ideology. But I would bet that you look whenever a woman struts by all dolled up. And please don't attempt to deny it.

Looking good is worth some discomfort.

When did we get to be such wusses?

I have news for you... women have always hated being forced to wear bras all the time but only recently in history have the social rules been forgiving enough for them to dispense with that formality. Again... if you knew anything about women you'd know this, lol

When you are in front of children, that would suck! also not everything has to be shown to the others

The negative attributes he ascribes to women in general is sexist. As if they are out to trap him and humiliate him. His action was creepy and uncalled for, and derived from a sick and sexist perspective, but not sexist in and of itself.

Here:

JC Penny: Wireless Bras

Or

JC Penny: Sports Bra <---this is what my wife uses. She loves it.

I sure as hell would not wear a bra

Look at me? You mean, feeling sexually empowered, which is every person's right?

Nobody is telling you to suppress your attraction. Having an attraction and acting on it are two different things. It's reactions that are inappropriate, not attractions.

Comments like these just scream of someone who is not integrated with their own sexuality. If you had come to terms with it you wouldn't be so offended by the opposite sex displaying their body awareness. Also known as maturity.

Women used to care that they did not look dumpy, based upon what I have been looking at on university campuses I am not so sure that young women do....grunge is in.

Maybe we should start insisting they where a bag over their bodies. You know, to keep it professional.

I am objecting to the sadism, the setting of honey traps so that women have an excuse to tell men how much we suck.

Actually grunge is out. These days tight spandex and short shorts are in.

College students are dumpy in general. What are you expecting from people taking 4-5 classes per term? Cocktail dresses? I guess your comment comes from the fact that you're a college aged kid whose life experience is coming from school and not the real adult world where all kinds of women inhabit.
