Equality of the sexes? Of course.

This? No.

Hmm... are we talking about absolute equality or relative equality?

Do you agree with gender based sports teams, separate but equal restrooms or gender based physical fitness standards in the military? That equality thing can only go so far before it might not be so equal in outcome. I think that most accept gender equality in basic human rights but that human biology plays a role that cannot (or at least should not) be totally ignored.

My girlfriend and I work together, in our self-employed handyman business endeavor, but our duties (delegation of work responsibilities?) are different (I do the on site repair, maintenance and estimating and she does the driving, scheduling, billing and accounting) yet we share equally in the proceeds.

There is obvious differences between the genders, men are physically stronger on average for example.
I never said women & men were one & the same, and we might have different needs, but we are equals and individuals, just like every other human being. I'm for equal opportunities, and against gender-based segregation women face on a daily basis.

Examples? Are you referring to the women that are being oppressed in underdeveloped nations?

Is facing not being drafted into the military really that hard to face? What, exactly, is the gender based segregation that you personally face on a daily basis?

Yeah, I don't know what she's referring to. I certainly have never faced any gender-based segregation in my life.

I honestly cannot think of one time I have faced segregation.

Modern day feminists are suspiciously quiet when it comes to advocating for people who don't actually have a voice.

I share your curiosity. Many of those (men and women) that were marching recently were simply expressing anti-Trump and anti-republicant views but used "women's issues" (is that term not gender based segregation?) as an excuse to do so.

Far too many seem to equate any lack of equality of outcome with being proof of a lack of equality of opportunity. Few lottery winners result even though many bought lottery tickets - the gross inequality of outcome (a stone cold, easily provable, indisputable fact) does not indicate any lack of equality of opportunity.

What unequal opportunities in the U.S. do women face? Is there something stopping them from applying to Harvard, Congress, or the Service Academies that we don't know about?

Good points.

That is a meaningless statement. Statistics on rape for women suggest
https://www.rainn.org/statistics/victims-sexual-violence
Women ages 18-24 who are college students are 3 times more likely than women in general to experience sexual violence. Females of the same age who are not enrolled in college are 4 times more likely.
If you are among those who have never been raped or asaulted then does that mean as you suggest here with segregation that it just never happens?

Other than maybe actual sexists and people who for religious or other reasons thing that men have a higher status than women, no one.

But you aren't using the definition of feminism that most feminists use. For example, my wife would call herself a feminist but say that much of what 3rd (or 4th, depending who's counting) wave feminism advocates/represents is nuts.

At this point, there's gonna be a 4th-wave that is uber-progressive and dumb.

You sound like a cause in search of victims.

You're an elementary school teacher, look around you.

That is like posting a bunch of pictures of white nationalists and the klan and painting all of conservatism with it. You can't take the extremes of a movement and paint everyone in it with it.

Good thing I didn’t do that then.
