Recently, I was involved in a debate in the basement in which I was told in so many words how wrong I was in the matter of being gay. And my detractors were as brutal as they could be. I don't mind it because it reminds me that I must be right. The more the better, I say. Keep it up and my spirits are good.

What they don't seem to see, is that if gayness is natural, does that mean that one should pursue it? After all, schizophrenia occurs in nature too, but rather than embrace it, it is not something that is desirable to fall victim to.

I'm not saying either that we should treat gays with any degree of malice, or ill will, but treat them instead with respect and compassion. Something which is nearly impossible today.

So why bring this out of the Basement up into the regular Forum?

If being heterosexual is natural, should one "pursue it?" See how silly the question is?

If one IS heterosexual, then by acting naturally one is not "pursuing " it.

So if one is "homosexual," it stands to reason that by acting within one's nature they are not "pursuing" anything either. They are simply acting naturally.

/End thread.

The OP is confusing Sexuality as mental illness and then attempts to say he's all for treating everyone with respect and compassion while he clearly lacks neither. Amusing.
