Please tell me this is not an attempt to normalize more mental illness?
Didn’t watch it all (and I think I’ve seen it before) but I’m confident enough to say this is not an attempt to normalise more mental illness. Incidentally, none of the things you’re thinking of when you say “more” are in any way relevant to this. Please tell me this is not an attempt to normalize more mental illness?

Warms the cockles, dunnit?
Such lovely tinkling background piano music.
Got through 3 minutes of that before bailing.
I guess the idea was to convince everyone to not be judgmental.
I suppose you can see it as a call for normalizing abnormal behavior.
There must be a movie screenplay in there somewhere.
Well, thanks for your completely uninformed opinion.
Maybe you can give me a movie review for a movie you've only seen the preview of.

I was talking to a guy visiting our state from Alabama. Older guy. It was right after Moore lost the election. He was telling me how he didn't understand what all the hullabaloo was about. He told me that back in the day, most parents of 14 year old girls would have been honored if someone of Moore's stature had taken the time to hit on their girl.
I changed the topic.
The truth is that in certain places and times, this kind of behavior was not, and is not, that big a deal. There was a time not too long ago that if a girl was not married by 16 she was considered to be an old spinster. They even compared Moore to Joseph, as you may recall. Because, after all, Mary herself is estimated by most Biblical scholars to have been between 13-15 years old when she was pregnant.
But being gay in those times now, on the other hand... now THERE is some real sin!
The world and its culture are changing, and some people are getting caught in the gears and crushed if they refuse to turn with it.

Without watching the video, because **** that, did you ever stop to think that normalising mental illness is a good thing? Many mentally ill people go untreated because of the stigma that surrounds mental illness and being treated for it. If we normalise depression, and anxiety, and other illnesses like that, the social and economic impact of them would be much reduced. Imagine, if you can handle it, that the stigma around being a clinical paedophile was removed, and instead of people sitting in the dark and jacking off to child porn, they sought professional help, realised their behaviour was harmful, and never actually offended? Your stance, that mental illness should be shunned and stigmatised, leads directly to harm, for people with mental illness, and potential victims of those.
