Oral sex causes cancer.

The fact remains...we would not have STD's without behavior that goes against God's purpose for man and woman...that is where it all began...

Um, how the hell do you reach that conclusion given that some STD's are KNOWN to have originated from non-sexual means? How the hell is being bitten by an animal "against god"?

Do they do HPV vaccines for adults? And are they effective long after you became sexually active?

The vaccine wasn't around when I was a teenager, so I never got it. I've never had a doctor suggest I get one now.

I believe that once you infected, it doesn't 'cure' you. It might stop you from picking up some other strains. There is some indications that taking the vaccine helped at least a few people control warts. .., which was after the fact, but at the time I read about it, there was no formal study other than to say that it should be researched more to see if it is a coincidence or not, and how effective it was. Since there is a high rate of infection in the population, if you were somewhat promiscuous, it is very likely you have the virus. If you were pretty monogamous, that chance drops off of course.

I didn't get around much before I settled down with my wife. Just two partners before her. And she only had one before me. So hopefully the risk is low. Not much I can do about it now I guess.

Just one husband?

At the moment. While we don't foresee adding any more spouses to the unit, we didn't foresee the four of us being together either.

It seems that for as long as humans have been having sex, there's always been some fear-mongering about having sex, in any form. Religious or scientific.

Just waiting for the official pseudo-scientific study that shows "heavy-petting" is linked to recurrent foot fungus in North American males aged 15-75.

And did god not create these diseases in the first place? What a jerk!

It's like it said "Hey, humanfolk that I just created in my own image, I've equipped your bodies and brains to experience the most amazing sensations E-VER, but just so you know I also created all this other bad **** that might happen to you *snicker* in case you actually try to discover/understand what all these amazing sensations are. And just to make it even more interesting and unfair, you don't even have to **** for any of this bad stuff to happen to you. Yeah, I'm a douche like that. *snicker*"

Logic and religion do not mix.

I can justify it easily. I've already got vaccinated for HPV, and I don't have more than one sex partner.

So I'm good.

Actually you are not. HPV vaccine does not give you immunity from all strains of HPV.. in fact.. their are 200 strains of HPV.. nine have been linked to cancer..

HPV vaccine is good for only 4 strains. that leaves 5 strains that are linked to cancer.. not to mention that other 191 that we don't have evidence for.

And you may have already had hpv before you were vaccinated.. which means.. not going to work for those strains you already had.

If your "god" is this narrow-minded he's also a complete idiot to make it feel good.

I wouldn't trust a city that's been under construction since the 1860's.

You ever heard of temptation?

Yeah, tempted to make my body function as its supposed to? Absurd.

Temptation to steal, covet that which you don't leave, place things above people, yeah that all makes sense. Temptation to participate in an intimate act with the person you married that is great for bonding?

That doesn't make any sense.

No...He created us for a particular purpose...pro-creation...and He knows our make-up...so He gave warnings for our own good...

I always thought that Eve was created as a mate for Adam, a partner, a friend with benefits. STDs as a punishment would be counter to that. Jmo.

The vaccine is good up to age 26 for some of us.

This raises a few questions for me. The first for women.
Can women justify recieving oral sex knowing they may cause cancer?
Secondly for the anti smoking campaigners who want to label cigarete packets with cance warnings. Should the manufacturers of underwear be made to label their goods with the warning that the contents of their product may cause cancer?
And last, a question for christians who still think aids is gods way of saying homosexuality is a sin. Is throat cancer gods way of telling us oral sex is a sin?

You're trying to get out of giving oral, aren't you. The girlfriend isn't buying it, dude.
