You have a serious mental problem.

Deal with it.

Though, having a few sitting around the house in chairs and standing languidly gazing out the window it gives it a special atmosphere, when you are entertaining guests or giving a dinner.

Without a few crazies running around out there, how would the rest of us know we're sane?

Just find you a mute woman with a flat head and big ears. ;)

From the linked article:

Ozaki is one of an increasing number of Japanese men turning to romantic relationships with sex dolls in a country that has officially lost its mojo.

Experts are worried by Japan‘s plummeting birth rate, which poses serious problems for the future of the economy as it faces a dwindling number of workers.

But a growing number of men — known as “herbivores” — are turning their backs on marriage and traditional masculine values for a quiet, uncompetitive life. My sex doll is so much better than my real wife | New York Post

It's not just Japan and sex dolls; there are people here in the States who have baby dolls that they take shopping and so forth. I've finally seen this for myself. How sad that for some, silicone soulmates are preferable to real humans.

I keep thinking there is a punch line somewhere of a joke I'm not getting about Japanese and dolls.

I don't believe any non insane human can recreate the humanity between two living things using a look alike piece of rubber.

Well, the lady I saw at Kroger had her lifelike toddler doll sitting in the cart like a kid, and she was talking to the doll.

That's a sure sign that it's time to browse a different aisle.

My guess? Emotional problems stemming from infertillity.

I think everyone has the right to pursue happiness and if that's what makes them happy then good for them. Not harming anyone.

How many Americans are content with their hand for company?

With the way women act now who can blame men?

Oh, I don't blame them. I understand that some men are unable to sustain relationships with fully-realized women who have their own needs and demands and desires. I think a doll is probably the right choice for those men. I just think they should figure this out before they're married (as the men in the linked article are).

Young men growing up in a society that is broadly hostile to all men are going to tend to get warped, this was always predictable.

I suggest that you should take the problem seriously enough to care.

By increasing, the article means more than a few. It is up to, now, almost a handful. Seriously, it is such a tiny portion of the population as to be insignificant. But saying that won't sell papers or draw page views.

Japanese birth rate has exactly nothing to do with sex dolls. Economics and a rapidly changing society are the big issues. The Lost Decade is probably the biggest factor, people not being able to afford to have kids.

Herbivore men(Soshoku Danshi or grass eaters) and the flip side, carnivorous women, are such a complicated issue it would take a few pages to really make it clear

Yup. There is likely a much larger social problem that needs to be addressed. Of course, no one wants to talk of that kind of stuff, so they accept this kind of crap instead. Sigh.

You realize that it is very unlikely that a large trend in men that is increasingly being seen all around the world is all the fault of men, right? It seems like women don't want to take any responsibility or actually listen to things like MGTOW, but instead just go, well those guys are ****ed up, so whatever. No, they're not ****ed up. Something is wrong with relationships and its time to sit down and figure out how to fix them.
