Is this really necessary? It seems like the further people can get from the norm these days, the better they like it...the world is screwed up and getting more screwed up every day...

Colombia OKs What May Be World's First Legal 'Throuple'
'We wanted to validate our household,' says one of the 3 men in relationship

"We want to make what's intimate, public." So says 23-year-old Victor Hugo Prada, who is gearing up to marry the two loves of his life after Colombia agreed to legalize a three-way union between Prada and his two boyfriends—perhaps the first such legalized "throuples" union not only in the South American country, but in the world, the Guardian notes. The paperwork joining Prada, Manuel Bermudez, and John Alejandro Rodriguez, which has already been signed off on by a Medellin notary, makes them a bona fide family unit in the eyes of the law, including for inheritance purposes, per News Corp Australia. "We wanted to validate our household ... and our rights," Prada said in a video making the rounds in Colombian media on Monday.

German Rincon-Perfetti, the lawyer behind the groundbreaking document, is careful to note this isn't considered a "marriage" under Colombian law. "A marriage is between two people, so we had to come up with a new word: a special patrimonial union," he says, per the Guardian. Bermudez and Rodriguez were the first to enter into the relationship 18 years ago, as well as the first male gay couple in the nation legally recognized in 2000 for their union. There was originally a fourth member in this polyamorous relationship: Alex Esneider Zabala, who started a relationship with Bermudez and Rodriguez in 2004. Zabala died of cancer three years ago, however, just one year after Prada also entered the picture. "There are a lot of throuples [around the world], but it is completely clandestine," Rincon Perfetti notes. A ceremony for the three men is being planned to take place in the next few months.

As odd as I find that to be, I don't really give a **** what others do. Ain't got no effect on my life.

Victor Hugo Prada? Did he just make that up?

Standards for behavior have went out the window thanks to progressive stupidity.

Well this statement is what gets me..."We want to make what's intimate, public."

Why, why, why?

To be seen. It's the same reason that a lot of gays show up to gay pride marches dressed up in goofy ****ing ways.

Don't you like to watch those pink oily banana hammocks full of fruit? :2razz:

The amount of people at those things just looking for a response is ridiculous. They are out there claiming they want people to accept them as they are and then they go out and do nothing but try to do the most shocking thing possible to get a response. I wish I could take them seriously, but I can't.

Not all gays are attention whores. Most don't really want to hear about or share their personal sex lives. It's like watching someone take a dump.

I certainly don't.

I certainly don't.

Some ultra conservatives think all gay people want to flaunt their sexuality for public acceptance, when in reality most don't care what others think. Nobody wants to really be identified by their sexuality but rather by their character.

Even to those that do, I don't have a problem with them being like that. I don't do that 'cause that's just not who I am. Personally, I wouldn't be comfortable expressing myself like that. I'm one of those types where you probably wouldn't even know I was gay unless you asked me, or you saw me with my girlfriend.

I'm aware of that.

I'm not emotionally affected by outward expression of sexuality but am not really interested in other people sharing their preferences. For me it's a personal observation and will stay that way. We're similar in our personal attitudes towards the subject, in that it doesn't define us.

I would hope so...i guess the few flaunters make it seem like they're all like that because they're the ones we hear about...

Naturally, you don't hear about or see the more secretive variety because they don't feel it's necessary to share that information about themselves. They're your doctor, lawyer, real estate agent, landlord, favorite actress, etc but prefer privacy.

So....dudes in Utah can marry infinite women, and that's fine, because, you know, Jesus. But a gay dude wants to marry multiple other gay dudes, and that's a problem?

On a serious note.....how do they file? Married filing jointly?

Not in my book...

So free.

To live the way you see fit.

Always makes "conservatives" and "libertairian" types seem hypocritical.

Why not? Standards and norms are hard for some people to live by so why not just get rid of them? :doh

If some people had not decided to go out and get in people's faces about this stuff then there wouldn't be any choice either way.

Nobody wants to be identified by their sexuality or gender but, when others make a point of differentiating people by their sexuality and gender then so be it.

If people don't want homosexuals to make their sexuality a point then people should stop making a point of their sexuality!
