SMH. We have those agencies to protect people from greed, misrepresentations, fraud, illegal dumping, tainted food, quackery, etc. Are they perfect? No, but that is how functioning governments work. They give it their best shot to protect the greatest number of people from things like selling old meat or dumping mercury into a river.

One reason Libertarian philosophy is dumb is actually what you are discovering at the bar. No one will protect you from being hustled.

I will. :shrug: If I know the dude is a dude and I think you don't know you can safely put money on me outing the individual to safe you from their deception. Also, bars are terrible places in general. Meeting people at bars is just asking for bull****. The bar being a terrible place to meet people has a been a fact of life well before the trans treatment issue.

I think that they all come under the bracket of 'used to be considered icky and, I can't believe that people now just openly talk about this stuff like it's just human nature or something!'.

We got over the gay thing and we've all got gay friends and relatives now. Once we're over the trans thing they'll find some other artificial barrier to set up around some other consenting human activity, it's what they do.

I have shown exactly why the procedures we are discussing are entirely ethical. You can certainly believe what you want, but it has no bearing on what actually IS ethical from a medical standpoint.

No, you've been pretty clear about economic gain being the factor in this issue. But, now if you are backing off, you STILL can't prove your position. Perhaps it is true for you, but you cannot prove that it is true for others.
