Survey: 20 Percent of Millennials Identify as LGBTQ

These studies all over the place. One study said something like half of young people are not straight. I wouldn't put too much thought into these studies if I was you guys.

20% of 69 million Millenials is 13.8 million LGBTQ millenial voters. 54% of them didn't vote in 2016, or 7.452 million. Would they have preferred the Gorsuch court or the Garland court, as well as every other social issue ?

There is actually some minor science behind it. There was an experiment in mice where in bad and overpopulated environments, an increase of homosexuality was one of the side effects. Interesting enough, a different configuration of the cages allowed for a more normal behavior pattern with the same population density.

On the other hand, humans are not mice, and we are not all in the very confining cages those mice are in.

Remember that there is a difference between an actual increase in something and an increase in people admitting to that something.

How does this even relate? For this to have meaning, you would have to hold that nobody is straight, gay or bi unless they have sex with the gender of that type for their gender. IOW, a girl is not straight unless she has had sex with a guy, not gay unless she has had sex with a gal, or bi unless she has had sex with at least one of each.

You might get it if the survey doesn't provide define conditions for each orientation. So there are probably some who, having tried their not normal once, claimed bi, or just claimed the overall LBGTQGTYAJ without specifying.

the question is so what in this case, what's the harm?

but as far as the thread which is self survey, vs that poll in your links, those polls only deal with gay/lesbian not bisexual, which if you this thread most of us believe that's where the majority of the whopping 20% self survey is coming from
