[FONT=&quot]President Donald Trump is reportedly considering an executive order directed at the LGBT community that could lead to discrimination from federal workers and potentially hinder gays from adopting children, according to media reports. The order could rescind a previous order signed by former President Barack Obama that protected members of the LGBT community from discrimination while employed with federal contractors.

I really dislike article that is based on a "unnamed source". "Considering" does not mean one will act on it. Elected officials "consider" many things.
What I see is the news wanting to push out anything that shines Trump in a bad or controversial way. Maybe it would be better for the Post to ask the Press Secretary if it is true.

Or is this just another fake news story.

(by the way, I did not vote for Trump. I do believe that some of the news media are out to get Trump.)

Unnamed source? Meh.

Hopefully this doesn't happen. And considering how Trump is not anti-LGBT, I'm thinking that this probably won't happen.

OK so the right cheers Trump for writing the E.O.s that Trump campaigned on. I understand that, I may not agree with the methods that he used to do it, but I understand that he wants to please his base. However, when did Trump run on anti-gay adoptions? In fact, I seem to recall him saying, I love gay people, or something to that effect.

To me it seems implausible even for Trump. It would be insane to do such a thing. On the other hand we are learning that the ridiculous and insane are not out of the realm of possibility with Trump.

As for what Trump has or has not said in the past nothing matters. Trump has made statements pro and con for almost any issue you can think of. Seriously.

Just yesterday someone on the board said, "Trump is doing what he said he was going to do." Yeah, that's correct 50% of the time. In most cases he has also said he wasn't going to do much of what he is doing. Take your pick.

All in all I doubt Trump is even stupid or delusional enough to sign such an EO. I'd give the unsourced knowledge reported in the OP a D+. It isn't sourced because it isn't true.

I don't remember him saying he was going to pick half his cabinet from Goldman Sachs alumni. In fact he demonized Hillary for speaking to them.

Trump said almost nothing about anything related to LGBT issues during the primaries and the General. He commented on the North Carolina/Bathroom thing and that was it (as far as i know....i will accept a correction if i'm wrong.).

People don't seem to be commenting on Trump's Executive Order on the temporary ban on immigrants from 7 countries. It includes:

You would be incorrect in making any assumption based on my comment. I don't support or oppose works of fiction as if they were truth because they are fiction. You might as well ask me if I support the overthrow of Sauron...

I don't see Trump specifically targeting LGBT. There's no political or economic benefit for him to do so. But if he did, it would be really, really sad.

"Not anti LGBT" relative to republicans is like saying well at least he doesn't support torture camps

Trump is anti anyone but himself, which means he'll do whatever he thinks is helpful to his political career. Anyone who thought otherwise was a fool

He has said everything in all directions in the past year and a half. As late as september he was saying to religious nuts he'd consider only supreme court judges who overturn obergefell. When hillary raised it at the debate he had no response. Then after the election he said it's "established law" At some rally he held an lgbt flag. He will do anything based on the audience

what would be really gloves off is he did this at a prayer meeting, like he prays for discrimination and everyone else should too. Everyone who claimed to be pro gay who voted for Trump, i let them know if they want to gamble with my rights i will drop them so fast if it turns out they were wrong

It could also not be sourced because it's from an insider who doesn't want to lose his job. You know his boss wants the big theatrical "Surprise, you are really ****ed now!"

I generally ignore anonymous sources, but with how quickly he's targeted other groups that didn't vote for him, i see no reason to not prepare to fight back
