How does this work?

Eeehh... That'd strike me as being kind of questionable, personally. I can honestly say that I've never been so horny as to even begin to consider men as an alternative.

That's what old "Rightie" is for.

I certainly prefer cheating on Rightie with Lefty over taking the gay guy up on his offer of a BJ, but not everyone agrees.

Sex is physical, especially sex drive. So, it's hard to say where the line should be drawn. If a person no longer desires sex, they're probably asexual.

Asexual as a sexual orientation usually means that the individual has no sexual attraction to either gender. If I am still sexually attracted to women even if I don't feel that I can summon the energy to actually have sex, I am still straight.

You are simply your own aversion to same gender sex, it while it is not what attracts someone, nor is it adverse for some people. Thus a straight person can have same gender sex, say for money in a porno, without actually being sexually attracted to the person.

You realize that men in porn use Viagra, right?

If that's a translation for "men do not turn me on," you nailed it.

I don't know. Loss of interest is pretty much the same as no longer being attracted to either sex.

Which has what to do with the price of tea in China?

That dudes in porn don't have to be attracted to squat or even to be sexually aroused to do their job. All they have to do is take a pill and go. There doesn't appear to be any reason for you bring them up since they quite literally don't matter.

Except, per the premise of the thread, there are those on this site that seem to say just doing the act, whether they took a drug to do it or not, are automatically homosexual because of that, assuming same gender sex. I am trying to see if they are going to confirm it or not

It's not creepy if you do not take all posts so seriously?
Being able to laugh at things, especially yourself, is a strength.
Enjoy the holiday, and I will not mention how nice it feels to pour Turkey gravy down my leg and have the cat lick it off.
get that thought completely out of your mind.

Sexual orientation and sexual action are not the same thing. One can be a homosexual and have heterosexual sex and vice versa.

Right. And still some don't understand that very simple-as-**** concept.

Damn...

(humming "The Lumberjack Song" as I walk out disappointed)

Hey that is NOT an approved silly walk! Now about that parrot you sold me earlier....

I agree, but there have been others who link the two, and I want to know how that works in various situations in their mind.

Well, they usually are linked.

It's basically the "where there's smoke, there's fire" principle. Desire may not necessarily be required for action, but it does tend to be a good indicator of it's presence, all things being equal

If there is action by one's own free will, say the married guy who goes cruising to pick up men at the local park, it's a pretty good sign that his actions define him. He's most certainly not heterosexual.

Agreed, it I said a good rule of thumb, but so is that a given individual will identify as straight and their birth gender. But there are significant amount of exceptions as to notable.

My point is that your example sucks to prove much of any point. The fact is people can do any action they can get their body to do. However, if you look back at your example it becomes clear that due to drugs being used in porn you can not prove that the actors body would have done its part without assistance.

I didn't take the post seriously, but the mental image the post gives off is still off putting.

And that goes for straight as well. Regardless, you are ascribing a point to me that I simply am not making. I am wanting to learn how this whole action determines sexual orientation thing work for those who subscribe to the idea. If you do more straight sex than gay sex, are you straight? Is there a certain ratio that determines the tipping point? What are the rules?
