Long. The longer the better.

Now, I know long hair is a lot of bother to take care of, so I don't really blame any woman that cuts it to a manageable length... but anything shorter than shoulder length doesn't look right to me, at least on women under... oh say fifty or sixty.
 
Ideally enough hair to get a good handful and a firm grip on.

^^^ this is not set in stone, I have will and would make exceptions. Realistically there is a limited amount of women where the handful of hair ideal would come into play anyhow, its just a nice perk on occasion.

ok to be more serious:
As a whole I prefer longish or longer hair; however there are a few (and this is kind of exceptional) women who can pull off short hair and make that look fantastically sexy. When it works it can work amazingly well and can often lead to a jaw dropping to the floor.

Quite frankly, I cannot bear short hair. It's my thing...a woman has to have long hair or I'm not even interested. I don't know why- it's kind of psychological. Makeup and clothes don't matter too much, though walking around with a woman who looks like a whore can be awkward, and I haven't gone on too many dates with women wearing habits. I do like nice earrings though- not that I can't stand a woman without them, they're just something I have a natural appreciation for. Unfortunately, that winds up with my spending too much money on the good ones because I cannot with good conscience buy women stuff that is low quality. I forget your name, but the girl who wears geeky clothes with removable parts and secret pockets: that's awesome. You remind me of some of my friends who did that...whether we're hiking in upstate New York or exploring downtown LA, they always have the appropriate objects for the purpose stored somewhere nobody ever sees. We one time hiked out of a canyon into a suburban area, and my girlfriend of the time simply removed the sleeves of her shirt and took the boot-coverings off her shoes, both of which were totally biodegradable, and chucked them in the river. It was the most ridiculous transformation ever.

Long hair! Sorry I love it. I like playing with long straight hair. Plus, I look good with it. At least I dont have to straighten it. Just wash and blow dry. Silky smooth. :) Though I do get tired of random people touching/smelling it.

It's gotta be long. Like WAY long. I love that.

Short hair doesn't suit the majority of women imo. They look like boys. That's not good.

I'm a female and it depends on the age...the older a woman is, with long hair, the older it makes her look...pulls her features down...long hair on a woman is for a young woman, under 40ish...over 40ish, cut it off...nothin' looks worse than an older woman with long, grey hair...:2razz:

No, if a woman cuts her hair short, it makes her look:

1. Like a boy/man
2. Older


Conversely if a man grows long hair, it makes him look:
1. Feminine
2. Younger


Caveat: Gray hair makes everyone look older.

Long hair makes some people look older if it’s not styled or cut most advantageously. With this in mind, getting a significant chop could give individuals immediate and painless facelifts. Wear a part in the hair or give it some bangs and it creates an undesirable focal point.

Short hair brings the eyes up rather than down toward the jawline. Change the texture of the hair by adding color or highlights to the hair and add volume to the front of the head. Quick and straightforward adjustments will take 5 or 10 years off the face in less than two hours at the salon.

Short haircuts bring out the best in people. Older personalities seem to shine the brightest when they look younger. Women who wear short hair somehow seem more confident, secure, and happy.

Ha! Not just the older guys, either. I first realized that I was loosing my hair at twenty-two. I was trying to grow it out long at the time. I started shaving my head, and I feel like I look better than I did in high-school, even if some of the chin-hairs are starting to prematurely turn white. I'm going to look like Mr. Clean by my late thirties or early forties, or perhaps like Mr. Clean and Kratos' love child.
 
Is it possible that the widely dispersed (though not universal) tendency of females to favor long hair is simply because long hair gives a woman more to work with, in terms of projecting an attractive glamor?
 
I have long hair, and I think it's attractive on other women. But it's not the end-all-be-all for me. Plenty of beautiful women with short hair.

Gray hair can look awkward on someone in their early 30s. Maybe older on first glance, but when someone is fully gray at that age, their age still comes through over the gray hair. The hair just looks out of place. We had a Reactor Officer who was like this. He definitely looked like his age, early 30s, maybe younger, but had a head full of gray hair. It was just odd.
