    Home made hand sanitizer

I make mine with vodka, and aloe vera gel. Does anyone want to share your recipe?

Hope you plan on making an addition to those 2 parts H and 1 part O. Water on its own is not likely to truly sanitize anything. It may appear to remove dirt and debris, but it's the microscopic stuff left behind that requires sanitizing. Germs thrive in moist(water) environments, but many of them actually die off quickly as soon as the moisture fully evaporates. Alcohol is a good, safe way to sanitize and disinfect things. It can be ethyl alcohol or isopropyl alcohol.

At Amazon I had bought a 10 liter canister of high purity alcohol for 20 €. The alcohol was of course denatured. So a substance was added which makes it inedible.

Diluted with 17% water and 3% glycerine and you have a good hand disinfectant.

(The glycerin is for it that the skin does not dry out)

My sister makes one with Isopropanol (usually 80%), aloe vera, and essential oils. Usually tea tree oil, but eucalyptus, bergamot, and others, have powerful anti-viral properties. They also let you tailer the fragrance. They feel good, smell good, and are easy to make. I carry mine around in a small spritzer bottle.
