Is it possible to use makeup as a sunscreen? As in, instead of wearing sunscreen.

Thanks

Must apply with a spatula...

Men and women can answer your question: "makeup with sunscreen" or "does makeup block the sun."

Aside:
It may not occur to you, but some men wear or have worn makeup:
-- Actors and other entertainers
-- TV personalities
-- Drag queens and MTF transsexuals
-- Men who are not any of the above but for some reason want to wear makeup, tanning lotions (yes, that also is makeup), for example.

To the extent they're outside, such men may care to use UVA/UVB blocking makeup.

Thanks for the link.

I know that there are makeup that contains SPF, but my question is whether wearing this only is enough. Can I skip wearing sunscreen if I have makeup with SPF on.

Makeup alone probably protects you to some degree. Just like zinc oxide

It all depends on how much exposure you get.

I have another question:

I am using a sunscreen. I looked it up online and it says re-apply every 2 hours. I am wondering if that's total wear time or just total exposure time.

What I meant: I apply the sunscreen. I walk to my place of volunteer, which takes 15 minutes. I stay there and work for 3.5 hours. Then walk back for another 15 minutes. So, total wear time is 4 hours, however total sun exposure time is only 30 minutes.

Thanks.
