I'm in the process of clearing out a house for a client I care for and his wife has a set of Eschenbach China. I have to check the pattern again to be sure but I think this is the one -

Is this telling me that one cup with one saucer is $35? If that's the case then how would I find out what plates, soup tureens, etc. are worth? What it a reasonable price to ask for a full service for 12 with assorted serving pieces?

That looks like replacement cost new, retail, so used would be less, but it sounds like theres a lot of it! Good luck.

Oh, wow! You're going to need to consult antiquey people who specialize in china (and maybe fine jewelers?), but a full service for 12 plus cool extras of a discontinued pattern may be very valuable.

There are sites online where you can obtain an appraisal (of sorts, I would guess). I found one at Just an Answer.com just now.

I'm a Royal Doulton/Lennox/Waterford girl and don't know anything about Eschenbach, but I would kill to have a complete service for 12 plus. This is a beautiful pattern, and there may be someone out there with the wherewithal to snap this up, a very special buyer.

Keep me posted please!

Replacements overly prices things for people who want a complete set. In general, the market for china has dropped to almost nothing, except for some rare patterns. I see that whole set (90 pieces) asking 275 on ebay now, with no takers. The thing is modern folks don't like fine china anymore.

Perhaps you should check with that "replacements dot com" place you linked. They have this page: https://www.replacements.com/sell-to-us/

See what similar items are selling for on Ebay. Some items such as Jewel Tea or Depression ware has devalued significantly because of near perfect Chinese imitations and discovery that some items are not as rare a previously thought.
