So we got one, enjoyed it till this afternoon, it started ringing, won't stop. No messages, alerts, alarms, calls, notifications. It won't pick up the "call" it says there is none. I unplug it, and it stops. I plug it in, and it starts.

There is nothing on the web I can find.

I am gone insane with this now.

Have you considered factory resetting it? If not I would just return it to Amazon and request a new one.

I might just. It keeps ringing and Alexa says it's not ringing, like... are you gonna blow up? Is it the dead calling? WTF?

Hell, my Alexa doesn't do that, and I've had a ghost following me around for around 15 years.

It took 30 min unplugged to stop the madness

Alexa has been having issues over the last few months. Wouldn't be surprised if they are being hacked somehow. Make sure you go on your Alexa account online and remove your credit/debit card info, if you have anything on there. I did that, day one.
