I have text in an email on my iPad. I don't have my email on my phone. Is there any trick you know of that would let me transfer the text from my iPad email to my phone without installing my email on the phone? My phone is Android.

take a screen capture of it, and send the photo.

If you have some cloud storage like Google Drive you can copy the text to a file, put it there and then access it from the other device.

In the long run, you might want to have an email account on your phone, even if it's some yahoo or other email that you don't give to many or any others. Convenience...

...caveat - I don't use iThings right now, so their nuances aren't something I'm fluent in.

How do I send the photo to my phone from my IPad? Sorry, I'm unclear.

TBH... set up your email and do it that way.. Transferring files from any iOS device to another non iOS device (hell even to an iOS device) is so annoying and cumbersome.

Alternatively use cloud storage, send it there and pull it down on your phone. If you have gmail, use google drive app on you ipad, and download google drive app on your phone. Probably the easiest way of doing it.

That's an excellent idea!

open the photo on the Ipad, and select the photo, you will see box with an arrow point up, somewhere around the edge.
hit that box, and it will ask you how you want to send the photo, send as a message to your phone number.

Sincere thanks. It worked. I ended up sending it through Messenger and picked it up that way. So much appreciate your help!

Thanks to all. I got it done very shortly after Longview's helpful posts. Then remembered I did have a gmail account and will do it that way in the future.

Gimme, I'd forgotten I even had the account. I only use it to keep a copy of my contacts synched. So you're Whut makes perfect sense.

Tested it. Works fine. Problem solved thanks to my DP buddies!

Don't you pretty much have to have a gmail account in order to have an Android phone? I would just save it in a document on google drive or something and pull it up from your phone.

Do make sure you don't put anything that's worth money to others on the cloud - at least that's my rule.

We can teach you encrypted emailing if vital records or other very personal things are being transferred.:peace Maggie!

Good rule. And thank you very much for the offer.
