Helping my brother out

Besides too many hoby posts I have, I do have a serious problem. My brother technichally 2 of them are homeless living together in a popup trailer in washington on blm land living off of money sent to them. This issue is compounded because my uncle lives right nearby he and he literally abandoned them after my mother died with the response homelessness builds character.

My father is barely scraping by sending what little he can, I send him money more than anyone, but part of his problem is he does not want too many to know and does not want the whole family involved, he basically does not want the family to know he is a complete screwup who can not get a job. He especially does not want great great uncle will not say his name helping even though he is a millionaire in england because if he helps every single family member will know for sure.

I have looked at jobs in his area of washington and they suck, his license was suspended, and he is taking care of my youngest brother with autism. I have been near ready to pay for a ticket to send them both to texas where the jobs are, as he has no skills for the nearby tacoma or seattle market.

The other options are to pay for him to move to california where my father lives but he said he would send my youngest brother and live under a bridge before going back there, or paying to move him to maryland with my oldest brother who has a union job but has nowhere for him to stay since his house is filled with inlaws.

His license suspension would trouble him in texas but would not stop him from finding a job, and he owes 3k for driving uninsured plus nearly 800 for the ticket. Thing is in washington that is a civil violation so he can wait out statute of limitations and get it back, after 3 long years, which 3 years of working crap jobs without a license can be hell.

What type of license is it?

You say that he doesn't have job skills for the Seattle/Tacoma area but some types of jobs hire for seasonal and can become temp-to-perm based on performance.

I can try to look, but to be blunt he is the definition of unskilled labor, me I am skilled in automotive specializing in automatic transmissions, and experience in welding with mig stick and flux core, and know basic computing as well as some very basis parts of advanced computing, like I rewrote a kernel for freebsd for drivers, which is standard for freebsd but not for linux and windows as in both drivers are installed, while in freebsd they are written in the kernel.

For him his experience was janitor for a school and a forklift driver, he could probably get a forklift job, but he lives in chehalis and the drive would be outrageous plus the cost of rent. I could imagine if he got a decent enough job he could handle the rent but would be heavily reliant on me to pay his way until then.

On what kind of license, a drivers license of course.

I was thinking of professional license of some sort like myself and several other members. MMM.... Getting a driver's license suspended sux because that's really necessary when you live in the boonies. It depends on how "shady" they are willing to be...

He can list his brother as a professional reference, but instead of listing him as a brother, he can be listed as an ex-supervisor. They can then give each other glowing reviews.

Can your older brother get him into the union? When you say your youngest brother has autism do you mean it is severe or can he be fine by himself during the day?

My youngest brothers autism is not too severe he needs constant supervision, but it does limit his ability to be self reliant, he needs a job and wants one but he lost his ss card, that is something doable since he has his original birth certificate it will just be a pain to get thats all.

And I do not know if my brother can get him into a union just a job, he works as a delivery driver for budweiser but I do not believe he works directly for them, but rather a contract company. I can get my brother a job for budweiser distributing here in texas, but it will be non union and his starting pay will be around 12 an hour, but it is not a bad job, as the pay rises quickley if he proves himself and if he does good and gets promoted he could see 18-20 an hour in a few years.

Goodwill is a great place for autistic people to find work. My brother in law is autistic and is attending a training program at our local branch. 12 bucks an hour isn't too bad if he doesn't really have a great skill set. I imagine cost of living would be better in Texas as well.

Well one brother is a lazy bum and the other autism, but the goodwill is a great idea, we have plenty of them here run by the red cross, it seems like a fit for him until he learns a job skill. The younger brother has autism the older one no. The older brother lost one job from them having him on call and not telling him they switched it from hone to internet, so when he did not show up for a while not knowing he was on cal as a janitor they considered him fired. The other he was a forklift driver which he quit from which he regrets, The forklift driver job was paying him a lot, but he quit because half the workers were smoking meth on the job and the company refused to deal with. Now he wishes he had dealt with methheads vs living ina trailer down by the river(literally I mean not the snl skit)
