No i don't mean acid. I mean i was prescribed a new med at the maximum dose, threw up minutes later, 1hr later tried to drive and got pulled over for driving in the wrong lane for 2 miles...and i didn't even notice. Talked my way out of it and the cop escorted me home.

Even later that night i woke and stumbled around maybe half a dozen times in 4 hours

I don't know to be pissed at the doctor, but i'm definitely not taking that again

Are you 100% sure it was not acid?

Not exactly what you're talking about, chrom, but one time I went to an ophthalmologist to get a new supply of contacts (I won't get the surgery, I've seen Final Destination). He was an old dude and kind of an ass but finally got through the exam and he put some drops in my eyes he said was just saline and they burned like he'd put bleach in my eyes instead. When I told him, he said it must be an allergic reaction which is weird since I haven't ever had a reaction to saline before or since. Eyes red and blurry and no contacts, that was an interesting drive home. Suffice it to say, I never went back to him.

if you have more I would keep one and head back to the pharmacy...what if they messed up your script?

keep proof just in case

other wise talk to the pharmacist...they are brilliant at understanding drug reactions...far better than a doctor

Nope. Never experienced anything like that with prescription medicine and I stay away from driving if I ever taking anything recreational. Do you mind telling us what it is? Sounds like you had an unusually strong reaction to it.

Yeah, don't take that stuff again. Clearly it doesn't agree with you. I'd also check to make sure it was filled correctly, and was prescribed correctly. If yes to both, then that drug should be on your ban list.

Just goes to show you, the only difference between drugs and poison is dosage.

That's scary as ****.
Bleach? WTF?

If I'm not mistaken, that might even have blinded you. Definitely not go back there.

Were these the pills you were taking?

Took an antibiotic I'd never had before (or since) and had an allergic reaction in just minutes. Vomited over and over... couldn't keep food down for 12 hours or so. Called the poison control center. They said it was a severe allergic reaction and that it had lit up the chemo receptors in my brain basically convincing them that I'd been poisoned. Wasn't light-headed or confused though.

What was the medication? Did you read the side effects on line?

How much you want for all you have left?

I think you should go see your Doc ASAP. It could be just a coincidence that you took the new meds and then had the problems described.
There could be some other new issue/issues that need to be checked. No need to be pissed at the doctor unless he prescribed something
that is reacting with other meds you take.

apparently the usual course is to start at 20 mg and then slowly work your way up to 60. But my doc just said **** it and gave me the max...then gave me 20 when i called back (i also hoped i'd throw up again so they'd hear what they did), but i'm hesitant to even try that now

The cop said aside from drunk driving that's the typical reason for what i did. Last time i trust a doctor and take the pharmaceutical goo without doing my own research first

I've had a similar, though less severe reaction to Hydrocodone. Won't touch it now.
