Two Earth-size planets have been discovered in a neighboring solar system - MIT Technology Review

They’re located in the “habitable zone,” where liquid water could exist on a planet’s surface.

The news: Researchers at the University of Göttingen have been studying a star known as “Teegarden’s star” for the last three years. They found two planets orbiting it that seem to bear some similarities to Earth, orbiting in a region where it’s possible there could be liquid water. Their findings are published in the journal Astronomy & Astrophysics this week.

Are they full of stupid people like this one is?

Probably. Either that or rabid homicidal caffeine swilling chipmunk analogs who ride giant homicidal tarantula spider analogs.

I don't know. I do know there are two things that are infinite.. the universe and stupidity, and I am not too sure about the universe.

oh ****. now we're going to have to build a ceiling to go along with the wall.

If there are inhabitants, please let them speak English. And not that UK English either.

Ha! ...and DOUBLE HA!
We TRIED to emulate "The King's English" over here for decades.
We had something called "The Mid-Atlantic" or "Transatlantic" accent.
Katherine Hepburn was famous for it.

Philadelphia Story

In retrospect it was almost as if we had an inferioty complex or something.

Cool.

Only 12.5 light years away.

I'm going to build a rocket ship with Kerbal Space Program and go!

In all seriousness. Until we have something better, we should build a probe and send it. It could take centuries to get there but might be the best we have if we don't improve to near light speed engines, or FTL. By the time we get the results back of the planets, we might need to launch a generational ship to populate one or both planet.

With today's technology it will probably take you around 218,000 years to reach it. Good luck! :2wave:

May sound foolish but I've already purchased my space helmet.
